Posted at 02/8/2014 08:41 by topvest I will certainly be interested to see who is picking up all the shares that are being sold. Casdon is worth 70p minimum but we are being forced to sell at 40p. How does that benefit shareholders? It benefits the big boys, but NOT private shareholders who have been had over! This year's results are also a lot better than they look given the building demolition costs. No doubt the 1.5p dividend will be increased in the future, but not worth the risk of holding something you can't sell going fowards and where the dividend yield is still quite poor. |
Posted at 01/8/2014 15:18 by topvest Yes, I've had to sell my few at 39p which is well below what they are actually worth. Thankfully I made a small profit on original purchase cost but not happy. Looks like there is a buyer at 40p or so. It's all a bit underhand. At the end of the day I decided to sell as it will take 26 years to get 39p back based on the current 1.5p dividend. |
Posted at 27/1/2014 21:27 by topvest Not sure why the share price responded as it did. Results look pretty impressive if you take out the exceptional building demolition costs and extra US costs. The usual very cautious statements from Casdon are nothing to get too concerned about. How they can make a 30% rise in US sales seem like bad news is pretty impressive though.....most board's would be waxing lyrical about that...these guys are serial doomsters! Anyway, a pretty good set of results and good that they are expanding in the US. Dividend for the year looks like it should at least be 1.5p or double the interim. |
Posted at 02/8/2013 19:40 by topvest Yes, happy to hold this one and collect the dividend until we see fair value...which isn't in the 50s! |
Posted at 02/8/2013 13:10 by topvest Yes. results today. All fairly positive. I was expecting a higher final dividend, but Casdon always surprise you in some way when the results finally come out. Nevertheless, things seem to be going well. |
Posted at 24/1/2012 08:18 by gears Well done Casdon back on track now the one off costs are out of the way.Nice Divi too will help in these hard times. Hope the new plush toys do well. |
Posted at 06/8/2010 09:35 by gears Lower than expectations but balance sheet strong and dividend held. The new VAT should not impact this Chritmas but after that it kicks in.Probably better being cautious now looking forward and planning rather than paying a higher dividend. |
Posted at 06/8/2010 08:48 by topvest Results out and a rather disappointing H2 is clobbering the price. Still a 4p dividend for the year is pretty good. Looks like they have taken a hit in H2, possibly exchange related. |
Posted at 31/1/2010 18:41 by topvest If November and December were strong, then this year's results should be very impressive. Casdon have done well in securing their niche position in the market place. 4-5p total dividend this year, looks the minimum. Happy to hold at this price given the strong market position, the dividend and the high asset values. Other operating income continues to rise as well which largely relates to their property income.New web-site as well. |
