Posted at 01/8/2014 07:46 by topvest Bit of a body blow today. I can see the logic of taking private from a costs perspective, but leaves you in a company that is virtually impossible to exit. Selling price is very low today. Be interesting to see if a buyer appears for the sellers. |
Posted at 27/1/2014 21:27 by topvest Not sure why the share price responded as it did. Results look pretty impressive if you take out the exceptional building demolition costs and extra US costs. The usual very cautious statements from Casdon are nothing to get too concerned about. How they can make a 30% rise in US sales seem like bad news is pretty impressive though.....most board's would be waxing lyrical about that...these guys are serial doomsters! Anyway, a pretty good set of results and good that they are expanding in the US. Dividend for the year looks like it should at least be 1.5p or double the interim. |
Posted at 02/8/2013 15:06 by gears I agree topvest but the new factory costs,Refurb on the old buildings plus International expansion are all costing money.Better to do it with the profits than get into debt.Maybe next year will be a better divi. The earning potential is looking good for the share price. |
Posted at 25/1/2013 16:58 by gears How much per share does market cap come to? Thanks |
Posted at 24/1/2012 09:31 by bozzy_s Great results and another davidosh gem I see. One comment though, the company seems very poor at releasing newsflow and trading updates. The last 3 RNS announcements being the statutory results. Does this explain why it appears so undervalued against peers? Is there no incentive for directors to push for a better rating and higher share price? |
Posted at 09/8/2010 11:50 by gears Yes looks like no debt 10p share cash and 2p divi.Maybe a harsh correction given the brand name and assets per share.Only small volume maybe 20 odd thousand shares. |
Posted at 06/8/2010 08:48 by topvest Results out and a rather disappointing H2 is clobbering the price. Still a 4p dividend for the year is pretty good. Looks like they have taken a hit in H2, possibly exchange related. |
Posted at 31/1/2010 18:41 by topvest If November and December were strong, then this year's results should be very impressive. Casdon have done well in securing their niche position in the market place. 4-5p total dividend this year, looks the minimum. Happy to hold at this price given the strong market position, the dividend and the high asset values. Other operating income continues to rise as well which largely relates to their property income.New web-site as well. |
Posted at 29/1/2010 10:07 by gears Good to see the price holding at new levels. We can only speculate on the final divi but it was a bullish statement. |
Posted at 02/10/2009 15:43 by gears Sterling is going lower so any overseas earnings will be very useful. The price is still below NAV so looks good value.Anyone going to AGM? Be interesting to see what the new products are. |
