11/2/2020 08:40 | We are off to the Caribbean in a few weeks time on Azura and have no plans to not go !! | tlobs2
11/2/2020 08:35 | As previously said we are due out on the Arcadia from Sydney on the 20th Feb,we still have no idea what the new itinerary is or a offer to cancel, no odds to us as we are already in Aus and are going irrelevant of what transpires, but I am still expecting the boat to missing a lot of passengers. | mroalan
11/2/2020 08:26 | I have taken the opportunity to add this morning. These represent excellent value at the current price. IMHO | tlobs2
11/2/2020 08:09 | Tricky ,but of course biggest returns are likely to be made if you can invest when concerns are greatest. Share price is certainly under pressure. | its the oxman
11/2/2020 00:05 | Very nervous about investing here or in the international hospitality sector yet Chinese tourists are such an important part of that world now- foreword bookings must be dismal with cancellations compounding thatTrading updates will be interesting Better entry points coming | panshanger1
10/2/2020 23:23 | As they traded through the swine flu pandemic (2009/10) which infected about one third of the global population, would hope solvancy is not an issue. On the flip side net debt is now higher. Debt maturity profile will be in the Annual Report, it may also be on their IR site. The FY or interim statement will give an idea of interest payments, however that will be for the reported period. As with hotels, occupancy is a key to profitability and there is high operational gearing, so small % changes in booking numbers have a disproportionate impact on the P&L. | essentialinvestor
10/2/2020 23:02 | How much cash flow do they need to service the debts? What capacity must a boat be at before it breaks even? For how long will this virus scare damage bookings, even when the virus is over? By how much will fares have to be discounted in an effort to rebuild trade? Unless you have those answers then you won't be able to tell when it has become cheap, or indeed if it is going to become insolvent. | lefrene
10/2/2020 22:42 | No BOD buying, perhaps look for under £30 imv. However, we are all just guessing. Rather than trying to catch a low, buying a small amount initially may be an idea, say 20% of the total intended holding. DYOR as always. | essentialinvestor
10/2/2020 22:28 | Anything sub 3100p seems extremely good value to me, but catching the absolute bottom often needs a good element of luck. | its the oxman
10/2/2020 19:18 | The question is how far will this drop? I`m looking for an entry point but I`m holding off at least whilst the virus continues to spread and new cases come to light. | dandu69
10/2/2020 18:48 | Desperate times desperate measures, this will be rushed to market due to need, this will be all over in 3 months | oneilly
10/2/2020 17:58 | oneilly. You clearly haven't taken note of the standard - and critical - procedures for testing, trialing and approval of EACH & EVERY medicine. OK, the guy on Sky News may have said a possible vaccine may be ready for TESTING in 16 weeks, but that will be the beginning of the process, not the end. It would be irresponsible in the extreme to risk the widespread use of any medicine without the necessary proven safety regimes. | grahamburn
10/2/2020 16:59 | Which is why they need to be extremely careful. The Zika vaccine was ready in about 8 months from memory?. That may hold the record for development time. Our best hope is containment and it burns itself out, with a vaccine ready for a potential second wave of infections. I paid for a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) at Boots last week. | essentialinvestor
10/2/2020 16:51 | Thalidomide | the white house
10/2/2020 16:18 | As reported on skynews, the scientist are more optimistic | oneilly
10/2/2020 16:13 | Vaccines are not usually easy to produce in quantity, it's not like an antibiotic for bacterial infections where they can churn out vast quantities with relative ease. If we have something within 12 months it will be an incredible achievement. | essentialinvestor
10/2/2020 16:08 | "The third group, at the University of Queensland in Australia, is aiming to have a vaccine ready for testing in people in 16 weeks. They are developing a vaccine by growing viral proteins in cell cultures." | oneilly
10/2/2020 16:05 | Thats not what a scientist said on sky news, this will be rushed through, nobody is going to wait a year | oneilly
10/2/2020 15:59 | A vaccine goes through 3 phases of trials prior to approval. They are at phase 1 currently. The very earliest any vaccine could be ready is about this time next year - and that assumes it's successful. | essentialinvestor
10/2/2020 15:52 | trialing vaccine this week, soon be all over i recon | oneilly
10/2/2020 14:31 | £27 odd next if 3060 doesn’t hold | linton5
10/2/2020 11:30 | 66 new cases from 7 nations, running total now 136With them all in same air con circulation the Japanese are stating you can't disembark until youve caught it and by keeping you on that is becoming an inevitability for all...horrendous and debatable strategy | the white house
09/2/2020 16:35 | Up 7 cases to 70 on board, not sure why the ship does not appear in 2nd on The WHO's World list as its not being added to UK total either... | the white house
09/2/2020 09:34 | Cunard have now cancelled all Far East calls on the QM2 cruise, now going straight to Australia. | optimist. |
