22/11/2024 07:44 | Pans, the only experience with QG is trying to get around it. Stupid design. You can't walk along 2 decks, you have to go back, then down, then along, then up.Mixed feelings about QA. Food a bit better than other Cunard ships, too much disco and not enough formal dancing, no traditional song and dance group, NOIR excellent. All in all we'd go on againg but prefer traditional Cunard, which this isn't. | pierre oreilly

18/11/2024 15:58 | I used the knuckle well before Covid as norovirus has always been a problem with cruise ships. Also don't touch handrails in lifts, stairs and corridors. However, it has not been a problem for us with the new larger ships. Surprising! | sardine2
18/11/2024 15:32 | Funny I always use the knuckle wherever possible since Covid.Sorted obc out for our January cruise very easy. Our first try on Costa, I know lol but a bargain. | ballymoss18
18/11/2024 07:01 | WINK WINK!! | collywobbler
18/11/2024 02:46 | try using the stairs | toffeeman
16/11/2024 11:57 | Pierre,Make sure you use the knuckle of your middle finger when selecting a floor on the lifts and not your finger.Have a good cruise. We are on the Arcadia the week after next. S | sardine2
16/11/2024 11:40 | We're on the Queen Ann tomorrow and fully expect to get COVID and fully expect no symptoms. Noro we'll do our best to avoid - wash hands alot, not putting fingers near mouth, nose ears or any other hole. If we get it, then c'est la vie, we chose to take the risk. | pierre oreilly
16/11/2024 11:34 | Agreed. The first 500 quid each of the group pay to the solicitors acting for them, and arranging it, will be paid with gusto and great confidence. The second 500 quid a couple of weeks later will be paid with reluctance and a wonder how the first 50000 quid was spent so quickly by the solicitors and barristers, and the third demand for another 500 quid will be dumped in the bin. And no, no solicitor would take on a case such as this on a no win no fee basis (are they still legal anyway?). | pierre oreilly
15/11/2024 22:25 | More than 100 seek compensation over cruise virus Not good publicity for the Cruise business, though suspect will be forgotten about by Monday. Not as bad as the 2020 Covid Cruise outbreaks. Infectious disease is always going to be a risk in a ship. Always has been. | wad collector
15/11/2024 09:45 | Seems sensible going back to pre covid debt levels, and I think they can do that while also restarting the divi - nothing incompatible there. | pierre oreilly
15/11/2024 08:18 | Just back to pre Covid levels I.e. below 10. | ballymoss18
14/11/2024 16:33 | Bally, ccl is taking in sufficient cash to easily do both. Lowering the debt and pay a divi. But while the cost of debt is going down, paying it down becomes less important. It wants to be lower before rates start rising again though. I'm not sure if you're saying pay the whole debt off before paying a divi? Every company - even the very high yielders -always have debt and debt facilities. As long as the debt interest is easily covered, there's no problem. | pierre oreilly
14/11/2024 13:33 | I would rather see the debt paid, I feel that would be more beneficial before a dividend payment. | ballymoss18
14/11/2024 12:42 | Because in my view, a divi would increase the share price even further. | pierre oreilly
14/11/2024 12:32 | Pierre, with gains like this who cares about the dividend? It needs to be investment grade before a dividend so maybe 2026 onwards. | smurfy2001
13/11/2024 08:54 | The strategy seems to be spot on to me. The only thing probably making CCL less investable than it could be is the lack of dividend. I hope that soon we'll get an indication of when it will be restored. That itself will cause a price boost imv.(The strategy I like comprises the following.Bigger ships replacing smaller shipsMoving down-market for some brands to fill the bigger shipsTesting price increases, which are stickingMaking the Carribbean more attractive by developing private islands, or developing ports they own in a similar manner.Stronger division between mass market brands and more expensive brands.I'm sure there's more I like but they'll do for now. | pierre oreilly |
