20/9/2024 07:15 | Around the millennium I had a Cantor credit spread betting account it was fantastic no deposit needed at all, and no money needed in account. I did well out of it at the time. Those days have sadly gone and never got the enthusiasm for spread betting after that stopped. | ballymoss18
20/9/2024 07:06 | I know how spread betting works. For some reason I thought you'd bought the physical shares hence the question. | kasamavic
19/9/2024 22:12 | I forgot to add this as soon as you are in profit you can use the paper profit as collateral to increase your ppp. Very risky strategy, if it suddenly goes against you, more funds are needed and you have time to supply them immediately. That's why 70 percent of spread betters lose money. | jan-mar
19/9/2024 22:04 | You obviously haven't used IG Index for spread betting, you only put up 20 percent. If you bought 1000 shares at 10 pound you would pay your broker 10000 pounds, goes up 1 pound you have made 1000 pound. On a spread bet you put up 2000 pound for 10 ppp, goes up 1 pound you have made 50 percent on your outlay. Same 1000 pound. The downside is if it goes the other way, but that's spread betting. Any more questions | jan-mar
19/9/2024 20:04 | Think he meant 72 cents, 1 cent per point. | tradejunkie2
19/9/2024 19:49 | How do you get 72%?If you bought at £10 which was the August low, and it's now £13 to round it up, it's up less than 33% | kasamavic
19/9/2024 16:56 | Good luck but I've cashed in a 72 percent profit since August 6. | jan-mar

18/9/2024 08:24 | Bally, jut tried claiming shareholder obc for my jan cruise. Simple on the app - you get pre-authorised for 3 months once evidence of 100 holding is accepted, so I didn't have to supply evidence again - a big plus. It's about 4 questions on the mobile app, name, booking ref, date. Unfortunately, it's only taking cruises up to 31 dec, so I'm 2 days out. Says to reapply in November (it has to be approved by the board each year). So I just wait and hopefully remember to reapply! | pierre oreilly
17/9/2024 14:50 | Expecting an EPS beat. Be interesting to see how much debt they have paid off as they do mention their aim to get to investment grade. | smurfy2001
17/9/2024 13:29 | Worked fine once set up. Confirmation came through within a few days, quite a bit quicker than the old application way through ccl. I think there was a little bit of hassle setting the app up, but nothing too dramatic, so overall I'd say an improvement. No choice now, all obc handled in the app. 10 mins ago booked queen Vic for 2nd Jan, so I'll be trying the obc process again this evening. 700 quid balcony for the week on QV, albeit 2Jan. Goes to Amsterdam, that won't last much longer, also the christmas garb should still be there. Got Brittania for 2 weeks on Friday up to scandanavia where the wife wants to go again. All obc there I hope! | pierre oreilly
17/9/2024 12:11 | How did the share perk app work for your obc Pierre?Once the holdings photos were on the app, did you claim through the app or contact Carnival.Just planning ahead don't go until January. Thanks | ballymoss18
17/9/2024 10:50 | 14 before we get them statements Pierre. | ballymoss18
17/9/2024 10:13 | Why 14 quid when it used to be 60 quid? iirc. Look out for statements like 'operating at 80% capacity' or greater and 'price rises holding'. If we get that, as I expect, this will have lots further to go. The debt falls into insignificance with the operational gearing ccl has, and I bet it's being paid off at a high rate anyhow. | pierre oreilly
