Should have made at least 25m profit in the last half year clearly no divi will be paid ....when back to normal trading should still be able to make 50m in the year....with no divi paid in that first year should be able to substantially reduce that debt of 170m.I would be prepared to sit out a couple of years at this price with no divi.... for the future profit flow and a debt burden reduced to around 100m.

Its incredible, they were trading upto one week before quarter date, the rental money should have been ready. Their wage bill has disappeared as furloughing staff that they cant get rid of. According to all experts they could afford and apply for government zero interest loans for a year. I expect there will be a delay in full figures being released, lucky for them. Landlords need to stand firm as alot of big chains will use all this to come out the other side with greatly reduced rents...i can see alot of companys going for cva . Maybe less should have been handed out in generous dividends over the last few years. Totally totally mis managed company, oh how is the Aldi deal going, rubbish, mickey mouse deal.

farrugia the rent was due on the 25th yesterday, just been informed from the company they suspended all rental payment, just like number other corporate companies doing the same, I just have to sit it out & hope I can recover the outstanding rent after all this corona virus is behind us. just wondering any one out there in a similar position as me.

Wow did anyone manage to buy this at 22p today. That is crazy I get all that is going on etc but this has a book value of 65p and is basically a profitable company that generates cash. I get the debt is high and closures etc etc but they will be surviving this.

All that remains is a load of leases on vacant high streets and a load of old cards

Card Factory decided to temporarily close all of its shops just three hours after announcing on Monday that it expects to "begin selectively closing stores".

I think it would of been nice if the management had come out with an update on c ontingencies, they still have an online business as well. Most other businesses have commented early on covid, being left in dark just makes things worse.

Well despite my previous comments I am shocked at how low they have gone. No one could have predicted this world issue. I am genuinely sorry for anyone that's been battered by this.

Yes, absolutely. I don't think it's the hardest hit or that it's unique. That's why I added 'that I know of'. .Of the small bunch that I had been keeping an eye on, this is definitely one of the hardest hit. And I agree, still more downside to come for many.

To be fair plenty of other shares are down 50 - 90% over the last few weeks.

Card has been battered but it isn't a unique situation.

This has been ruthless. One of the hardest hit that I know of. Sympathy to anyone feeling the losses here.
