my best trade last week: I bought countrywide at 80p on Friday morning and sold 1 hour later for 109p. I like Metro Bank, Kier, Saga and Staffline. All laggards

I made money last week on a number of these laggards but now I regret not being aggressive enough. Capita in particular though owes the market an update. That makes it risky until news comes out

I did make a nice chunk from my initial entry at 35, but sold a little early on Friday at 43.40! Hoping for it to retrace a little & buy back cheaper... it shot up after I sold haha.

did y c the YE presentation?

14 pages were on operating profit of 6 divisions of £444m that translated to an actual operating profit reported £0.4m.

The value achieved in £138m on overheads did not win comment though it was worth an increase of 162% over YE18. The other items were £91m on GW & intangibles written off after the balance sheet reset, £69m on business exits & £159m in restructuring including group systems that warrant immediate write off as cost without continuing value.

This is 2 & half years after £681m raised in rights issue of 70p raised 681m.

The reason YE18 wasn't too bad was sale of businesses described on this trail as family silver. They're aiming to cut specialist services which 30% of the operating profit for being non core.

Lets see what they say at AGM.

I liked that link to Britishbulls for an overview of market mood, do y know if subscription gives better info?

Been watching closely over the past couple of weeks & there's definitely a lot more chunkier buys going through today at 50k plus at full ask. This will absolutely take off as most of the other large cap companies have 2x & 3x from market drop in March, just a waiting game

Lastchance you might be right, share price movement has brisker dynamic, perhaps it is building for the AGM.

natty - great link! Cpi is doing a bullish harami. Sounds good.

I might dip back in sooner rather than later, thanks both,

GL
