another meandering day, shame where it ended up


I don't get this. The executorship took over as the balance sheet was reset, they did the rights issue & have had two years. The previous lot had taken the poisoned chalice a couple years before that when the original founders left. The founders understood value in unglamorous admin + some tech development, they hit forecasts so consistently they had opportunity to expand by acquisition, uncontrolled sales & deft accounting. I thought if intangibles from acquisition accounting & fruitless IT development had been written down, the new lot would only have to price sensibly for the business to turn itself round, instead they are away from predictable admin & into for example this cloud basing with competency partners from Bulgaria - motto "The sky is your limit" probably meaning no difference is share price tomorrow. Don't they get that higher value short pieces of work have to be won more regularly which is why they have to be higher value? Wouldn't you prefer to know all your fixed costs are covered indefinitely before hunting for jam rather than trying to have jam all the time?

Doubt this will go any lower, it retraced 30's twice already, and is better investment case. Capita can adapt to most home working situations. They may get involved in track and trace and the vaccine roll out if they support emergency services.

Won't be long before this stabilises in 40'S, and hopefully gains momentum.

there is a strong IT operations angle to this company. Themes like Remote Working, Maintenance etc are in demand right now and capita has a lot of ways to meet such demand. Also the expansion of government services relies on companies like capita
