I updated the file once again. The defendant counsels still trying to take the case to argentina. I think it is highly unlikely that this will happen. But i suggest if you are interested you should read the files and come up with your own opinion. The files are directly downloaded from the court. I will probably continue to update on Twitter.

Maybe a rebalance,Burford is traded on sentiment at the mo,any selling by a institution will be seen as a negative .If they are rebalancing their portfolio
and not selling into share price rises
hopefully it should move forward again
Took a tranche at 6.15 on Friday

When to sell on a winner is really hard to work out - but when to sell on a dog is easy Just because you sell on a drawdown doesn't mean you can't buy in later Burs has been a total waste of time for last 6 months - I've been happy to be mainly away - it may all come good/better but ill be back in when it does - and if I don't get the bottom I'm not too bothered - not looking the hole in one

Interesting, that this approach worked for you.

Hawkind, you say “cut your losers” but some of my biggest ever gains have been in companies that dropped over 50% from when I bought them, and then soared to many multiples of the original investment thereafter. ARM Holdings and Glencore being two that spring to mind. Similarly, some of my biggest ever losses were in companies where I did “run the winners” and then they ended up worthless when if I’d sold up I would have crystallised big gains!

Yes, i like that statement. Also like the look of LIT too I think BUR and LIT both will do well in 2020

This statement has had me buying all week.We are entirely unconcerned about that, and as January 2020 has proved, circumstances can change quickly in our business. We focus on cash, and the best value outcome for shareholders from our investments, rather than managing realisations to an accounting year-end. We can't control when courts rule or matters resolve - and in many instances we make more money from delay because of the pricing structure of our legal finance assets.

Shouldn't call out people on bad judgements. We all get it wrong sometimes, and some right. The name of the game is to get more right that you do wrong, run your winners and cut your losers. Of course easier said than done when human emotion intervenes
