09/11/2019 16:31 | Ambulance chasers Burford Capital’s Investors Get Lead Plaintiff in Metrics Suit Wonder if MW is providing any covert funding? | lomax99
09/11/2019 14:20 | pal 44 long fuse I guess, handbrake off and it rolled backwards But may be some sensible info from the Mello dicussions/insights, i hope they will include issues like the timing of a US listing, how they are doing with suing MW & the short share manipulators, how their business is doing now, any cases come to fruition? Future borrowing possibilities etc. Bur could do with some serious good PR to counter the negative press in it seems all media. | rar100

07/11/2019 17:59 | Quite right stockvalue, how long is long term from now? | rar100
07/11/2019 13:37 | Long term we will go in the direction of fair value range. In my opinion with given information this range is between 15-20. Not sure it will look very smart in a few weeks if you sell now. If a share is undervalued and you hold, the probability is at every moment in time in your favour. | stockvalue
07/11/2019 13:04 | Very volatile today - from peak of 987 earlier down to 947 around 12:30. Good if you sold in the 980's ! | bristol97
07/11/2019 11:51 | This is true. Was a lot of resistance around 910p. Think the 6m buy around there helped push share price through that level! | johndoe23
07/11/2019 11:48 | £10 could be tricky but there is much less resistance in the chart than there was at £9, so not necessarily. | mad foetus
07/11/2019 11:43 | 1000p could be tough nut to crack... | johndoe23

07/11/2019 09:42 | For me the MW saga was extended by the Woodford uncertainty saga which was IMO overcome by the holdings RNS's capped by Coltrane on 4th November? | tightfist
07/11/2019 09:37 | Thanks Brownie. Yes, it is starting to feel a lot better, and the Woodford debacle is being managed. As well as buying into the BUR2 bonds flash opportunity, I am back into the shares (albeit in reduced size). The BUR Bonds are included in the IC High Risk table but I can see no commentary; the HR inclusion criterion appears to be simply trading (on 26/10) at a discount to Par. Although BUR business model/growth has an ongoing appetite for cash, personally I struggle to see BUR defaulting on any of their existing Bond issues, given their reliance on this source of funding - but I would welcome contrarian rationale!.I am thoughtful about their US intentions/mechanism | tightfist

07/11/2019 08:56 | £20 notes on sale, get them half price! | mad foetus
07/11/2019 08:55 | The truth is the short case was busted ages ago. It's just surprising how long it has taken for the price to reflect this. It shows how sentiment can be really sticky sometimes, or alternatively how few people do their own proper research as opposed to listening to influential figures like MW. Anyway it really does look like we have turned the corner and people are getting it. Those that didn't get it earlier will now be pushed by the rising price to look into the case again, and hopefully jump on the bandwagon, otherwise known as the momentum effect. | dgdg1
07/11/2019 08:48 | No probs tighfist. I've used them for about a year now with no probs. This has a good feel about it now, a tenner in sight and the short case seems completley busted. I'm assuming that TW has gone back to being a pizza chef. I hope he is better at that than assessing investment cases. | brownie69
06/11/2019 19:52 | Thanks, missed that - or mentally blanked the High Risk comment - "confirmation bias"..... | tightfist
06/11/2019 18:50 | IC does mention BUR bonds under the heading high risk | dekle
06/11/2019 18:11 | Hi Brownie,Thanks for the heads-up on Wise Alpha; clearly there is a far more liquid market than ADVFN monitor. .The savage brief dip during the MW saga was indeed a great opportunity. And with background interest rates under increased pressure the Bonds have kept going. However, they obviously have their limits - in last week's IC there was an article on Retail Bonds but I could see no reference to the BUR Bonds - in fact they seemed to dodge that one!.Cheers, tightfist | tightfist
06/11/2019 17:11 | Invesco down yesterday 13.9% down to 12.73% - First reduction by Invesco over past 4 months. | metis20 |
