11/9/2019 13:31 | Right solonic - eh - I sold out half my exposure at 16 many months ago and the rest when it started to tank Have traded in and out and said that buying in and around NAV made sense Was totally out - bought some back below £7 You seen only interested in one dimensional thinking - it's possible to say that MW had a point in some of its points and not on others and to think that it should be a NAV Value and not an earnings multiple | williamcooper104
11/9/2019 13:09 | Ohh DM.....lol get out of town | zoro9791

11/9/2019 12:56 | Hey, truthteller. You forgot William Cooper and Henchard. The same tile fell from the roof and hit them both in the same place. What a coincidence! LOL LOL | solonic

11/9/2019 12:48 | The facts are the profits, the growth, the size of the opportunity and the proportion of profits due to unrealised gains dropping a little over recent years. This is very cheap, a slam dunk created by mud slinging. That's all there is to it | mad foetus
11/9/2019 12:46 | Or how's about ltcm1 and Chucko1, when they come back from the dole office? LOL LOL | truthteller3

11/9/2019 12:39 | Petey, rar et all, Three posts appear instantaneously in reply, none of which address any issues raised. Every time one of the bulls plays the man here instead of the ball, every time some idiot identifies a poster with a contrary view to their own 'everything-is-aweso HTH | bbmsionlypostafter
11/9/2019 12:37 | You've just given me more faith in BUR, you protest too much and your post is childish so you have an agenda of some sort, maybe you are short? | rar100
11/9/2019 12:32 | Carson Block: “I’m not saying Burford is a fraud” | 5chipper
11/9/2019 12:30 | rar100 and bbmsionlypostafter. Everything is falling down about your ears just like your "houses" in Greece and North Wales. You've got absolutely no credibility. LOL P.S. Nor any money. LOL | pete_bane
11/9/2019 12:24 | From another site, observations on the Caro-Kann Capital report. Skatersav • an hour ago It's a nicely produced report by a very smart analyst, but I'm not convinced it successfully counters any of the points made. To me, it just restates the same issues with a different perspective: one of optimism, presumably because he won an award last year for his bullish report on Burford. He placed his nuts on the table and is now trying to protect them from the ferocious hammering of MW, and other short sellers. As with all the Burford bulls, there is a level of credulity: they all seem willing to start from the base assumption that this executive team is entirely honest despite the glaring red flags (even ignoring the downright lies). - Guernsey registered! : What's wrong with that? - Look at the Board! : Experienced, not decrepit. - AIM-listed! : Lots of companies are AIM-listed - not all are fraudulent. - CEO/CFO marriage not disclosed! : Well it is now. - CEO/CFO not on the board! : Well... so, what if they are highly paid? and it leaves them clear to focus on running the company. - Insiders selling stock in size! : Estate planning... Wouldn't you? - No cash generation! : Investing in growth. - Borrowing money with retail bonds! : Giving real investors access to the returns on offer. - Tier 3 assets! : Why wouldn't you trust their subjective valuation approach?... I even had one individual explaining to me that they should be trusted because they are lawyers! I mean... Frankly, I saw that as part of the short thesis! It goes on and on, each logical argument parried with optimism, the combined effect being one of pure credulity: faith based investing... dancing to Bogart's pipe music. There is only one reason that an executive team pursues poor governance and that is to harvest their flock of shareholders. | bbmsionlypostafter
11/9/2019 12:23 | Not if they're trading UK stocks they're not | daftweejock
11/9/2019 12:19 | USA are still in bed! | bbtablet
11/9/2019 12:12 | So nice to see some interesting and positive comment from the last 6 posters, I'm still holding. - Thank you all, I was in more despair at this BB than even Bur! Not quite brave enough to buy more, but feel a bit more positive than yesterday. Nice to see the share price go North for a change even if only a little. This must be costing them an awful lot, I'd like to know what their retained 3 sets of lawyers are doing...sueing MW?? I guess that the sovereign wealth fund investor is not happy but i guess can't really pullout and lose ?% of their stake... | rar100 |
