BUR still a day trading proposition - go long at 4pm, go short at 0815, rinse and repeat - getting tedious.

Most of us have filtered chimers so don't engage with him or repost his comments. If he is going on about the EU then I would just say there is no reason to believe that people interested in BUR are either more or less interested than anyone else so it is irrelevant to post it here

BUR starting strongly today, I think it is massively oversold. It currently has a market cap of £1.5bn, yet its profits since 2016 read $118m, $273m, $344m and then $251m for H1 2019. So if we assume FY 2019 is in the region of $450-500, it is on a PE of around4 for a company growing profits at a rate of something like 60% pa (given the lumpy nature of returns its hard to be more accurate). Yes, there are all the question marks, none of which are that persuasive to me. But it just looks bonkers cheap right now.

As Boris says, people should be much more positive and upbeat about our wonderful country and the same goes for Burford too. A great Company....

I just told you what the 'catalyst' today was ....LITIGATION FINANCE.

Do try and keep up.

I absolutely agree that it's cheap and I am long and happy about the rise, just wondering if there is a specific catalyst today. Actually ir could well be the Caro-Kann Capital report which someone referenced yesterday, and is now reported by the FT - - it seems quite likely that is the reason (possibly combined with LIT stating there is no inherent problem with doing fair value accounting for litigation funding and that they are considering adopting it), will be interesting to see how this plays out.
