04/7/2010 19:22 | zangdook, you don't by any chance work for easy jet or ryan air? Comparing a top quality airline to a bus is a bit harsh. | smurfy2001
03/7/2010 20:23 | I've flown twice on BA in the last month, for the first time in a few years. I was, frankly, shocked at the appearance and attitude of the flight attendants. A lot of fat middle-aged men with greasy hair and dandruff on their shoulders who made no effort to hide the fact that they didn't care about the passengers or the airline. No 'please' when they asked passengers eg to sit down, and on one flight when a passenger got up and opened the locker before the plane had stopped the nearest stewardess just folded her arms and looked in the other direction with a sour look on her face. Might as well have been on a bus. I've never seen such a lack of professionalism. | zangdook
03/7/2010 09:31 | A primary misconception of BASSA and UNITE is that somehow BA can be squeezed for for increased perks and increased levels of salary. The money is not there; BA is deeply in debt, nearing bankrupcy and has nowhere to go but to stand firm against union intimidation. If BA does survive, it will be a smaller airline, fewer jobs and hopefully the current members of the cabin crew will be employed elsewhere. | selborne_edge

02/7/2010 11:44 | Gramsci, Nice summing up. Selbourne,If you are so worried about wage costs what about WW getting a 6% pay rise last year when they lost a shed load of money? Oh i forgot he turned down his bonus but the CFO Keith Williams took his this year and for last year. He made the most patronising statement last year saying "i won't cash it in for as long as i work for the company" I emailed him and said if he gave me the same amount i promised, cross my heart that i would not cash them in till i gave up work.He never got back to me! | shauney2
