Posted at 28/12/2024 10:24 by super squid This has just been posted on another BBI have done some checking. David Williams of Breedon fame amongst other set-up three LSE Main List 'shells' three years back. All of a sudden, and perhaps in connection with 'shoots of recovery' in the market Sr. Williams has done a great deal with AC8 in the music royalties sector. Further, there is clearly something in the offing with Bay Capital which has run from 3.5p to 10p in a matter of days. So what you might say ? Well, a pound to a pinch of s--- the next one to succeed will be Red Capital - the third in the Williams trilogy. I don't have much info on it but an investment soon before the mad rush could prove very rewarding. |
Posted at 02/10/2021 10:55 by furgus ferret Time for a new thread as BAY is not longer British Airways or Bay Energy..This is a completely new story and one that could be exciting. Anyone know Breedon Aggregates ? One of the UK's largest quarrying companies. The guys heading-up Bay Capital are the same as those who took Breedon to a 1Bn company - starting from pennies. They have not listed this Bay Capital shell for nothing and are unlikely to make 'widgets' or 'boiled sweets'. £13M market cap and £7M in cash. Cheap as chips and a lot of potential. |
Posted at 01/10/2021 17:15 by lightning rod Worth watching Bay Capital. It is led by David Williams and Peter Tom - both with incredible records and mostly in the quarrying and aggregates sector. My guess is they are lining-up some quarrying assets to create a new competitor or disruptor in the sector. Market cap is a modest £13M. Modest because that includes £7M in cash !!! Fair value at this stage ? 25-30p. |

Posted at 20/1/2011 15:27 by factsonly RIP BAY shares, you was a good share to trade, so predictable... paid for me and my missues RTW trip... a good few times at least. I wonder if shareholders in the new group will be given discounts on flights (across the entire group). |
Posted at 20/12/2010 11:40 by alphorn Added a bullish position to my BAY exposures to take advantage of the lower share price (Now balanced bull/bearish positions). |
Posted at 17/12/2010 12:28 by alphorn The next Financial Statements will be for the 9mths to 31/12/10 - will that be the new combined group or does that come into force 01/01/11?From the BAY investor site: British Airways and Iberia received shareholder approval for their planned merger. The merger will create a new holding company International Airlines Group that will be ideally placed to lead future consolidation within the aviation industry. It will also create annual synergies rising to 400 million from the fifth year. The merger will be completed in mid January 2011. So I guess it will be the last standalone BAY results. |
Posted at 11/12/2010 11:35 by alphorn Could impact any future BAY borrowings: |
Posted at 10/12/2010 09:28 by enami jailbird you will get 1 IAG for 1 BAY share. Iberia shareholders will get 1.0205 IAG for each Iberia share. IAG will be the combined market cap of BAY and IB.The details are in the shareholder circular "On the basis of this Merger Ratio, following the IAG Merger, British Airways Ordinary Shareholders (other than Iberia) will hold approximately 56 per cent. of IAG and Iberia Shareholders (other than British Airways) will hold approximately 44 per cent. of IAG." |
Posted at 02/11/2010 07:55 by indieman 'BAY share price has a history of doubling or more in the past' (owtte)It's a high beta stock. It also has a history of halving or more in the past. Same reason. |
