Churchtower - I have calculated my breakeven point at 647.25p Therefore, if I see anything above 650 today, then I shall grab the money and run. He who cashes in and runs away has funds to invest another day! Happy investing to you ;)

AOS - Good luck to you - braver man than me. I would only suggest that if you can take it up to about 665 I would then be inclined to close out your position. I somehow doubt that it will get that far, but have been wrong on too many occasions to speak with any authority.

Churchtower - I took my Xmas bonus last week, courtesy of a share price dip followed by an almost immediate recovery. I have decided to get back in again at 643.42. I am hoping that the 10p drop is the last and that we will see an upswing this afternoon once Wall Street opens, which seems forecast after yesterday's sell-off. I think also that the news of the US retailers Sears, Kmart merger may have some upwards effect on retailers. I might be wrong, but 'fingers crossed'. Happy investing to you ;)

Just got an email, looks like dixons are reporting that customers are rather shy this year, as in there not turning up.

High street footfall is not what it should be and retailers make most of there profit around this time of year.

Gone short, may be slightly premature but have got the March expiry so happy to sit and watch the inevitable decline.

There she goes. If it fails to rally and hold above 650 then I will go short.

JS - I think you are right, we may see a bit of a bounce but much will depend on how high that goes. Anthing less than 668 will signal that this downtrend is going to continue.

I think if 648 is breached then a March 05 target of 525 must be considered. I shall certainly go short once this support level fails.

Will the anchor hold at 648/650 ? There may be a bounce, but it is not looking good.
