11/11/2004 13:18 | AOS - I am concerned that we have seen falling highs since 6/9/2004 which has produced a resistance line tested now on five occasions. This line is presently at 668 and must be breached for the short term downtrend to be reversed. It is essential that 648/650 acts as a support for if this fails then 600 is sadly beckoning. I shall be keeping a close watch, but if 645 is penetrated then I shall be tempted to go short. | churchtower
11/11/2004 12:50 | Churchtower - Many thanks for the well-wishes. Only a matter of time before they start selling bull-whips etc. Then, watch the shares rise ;) On a more serious note, we seem to be extremely range-bound today. Any ideas? | aos
11/11/2004 11:47 | aos - good luck to you, clearly you think that long boots go better with good vibrations ! Time will tell. | churchtower
11/11/2004 11:37 | Nick, when IC says BUY they actually mean SELL and vice versa ( thats my view) | psps
11/11/2004 11:08 | I understand there was an article in Moneyweek recently recommending this as a 'short' with a target price of 525 to March 2006. Unfortunately I do not have the article but I believe it based the recommendation on anticipated weak Christmas sales and a subsequent profits warning. May be worth getting hold of the article if anyone proposes buying or holding. CH. | churchtower
10/11/2004 17:23 | I am happy to make short term gains on spread betting it-might be that post christmas after sales etc they look better (or worse!!) | money4me
10/11/2004 14:43 | eastbourne, i think so too, most other shares looking too topy now for me to go long, but this could be good if the overall amrket holds up. btw - i finf IC quite good normally | nickthegambler
10/11/2004 12:47 | 'Investors chronicle had them down as a 'buy' last friday' Probably a short then! No, seriously, this is one to trade for the time being in my opinion, long if support holds around £6.50. | eastbourne1982
10/11/2004 12:42 | psps, i'm also watching boots with a view to going long - Investors chronicle had them down as a 'buy' last friday | nickthegambler
10/11/2004 09:54 | Short BOOT now. H. | hectorp
09/11/2004 21:37 | hhhhhhmmmmmmmmm soon time to get back in BOOTS . just waiting for 650p | psps
09/11/2004 21:34 | Looks like a consistent downtrend until there is any positive news IMHO-didn't make it to 680 | money4me
08/11/2004 12:02 | Jedi ... I feel this is very toppy here. But they are buying 300K of their own shares for cancellation and this keeps the price up. Of course as Bush won and we've had a rally, I'd want to see the markets themselves topping , I dont expect we have yet. | hectorp
03/11/2004 09:38 | waiting for 650p to get back in | psps
02/11/2004 18:04 | I don't see this going above 680 | money4me
02/11/2004 16:55 | thank gawd for that! where do you think it will peak? | jedi shorter
02/11/2004 13:00 | Ex Div tomorrow Wednesday, and if Bush fails to win, the markets will also fall. Short Boot at 669p. | hectorp
28/10/2004 16:11 | This is behaving as defiant as BDEV once did, took ages for the city to wake up and smell the coffee, Friday and Monday will be deciding factors. | jedi shorter
28/10/2004 10:38 | Despite Boots also announcing that it would meet full year expectations, CAI Cheuvreux said it remains cautious on the stock due to the fact that after recent investments group sales growth is still weak | the pink peso
28/10/2004 08:47 | Could see support tested @ £6.40 today. | the pink peso |
