Despite cost pressure common to all UK retailers, the broker expects gross
margins should flatten out and productivity improvements should allow
BTC to start restoring its EBIT margins from next year on.

This morning, Boots shares have been upgraded to overweight from neutral at JP Morgan.

The US broker said the restructuring of Boots the Chemist (BTC) has been painful, resulting in a 6% decline in EBIT margin.

However, it believes the worst is now fully discounted.

Agree with you, Big Boyo.

No value in Boots: trading at PE 15, and almost 4 times tangible book value. Can't see any upside. The downside risks are manifest. At some point, these will dip significantly. But they have got a share price history of defying underlying fundamentals.

If it can hold here, then next target £6.30. Going to give back money from sale.
Expect news of bidding next week.

Next stop £6.10 on a chartest view. Much undervalued but in present climate justified. Good one to tuck away or use Dec long on spreadbet. Added to my stock this week.

Time to buy when all looks bad. Ready to bounce first to £6. Shorters to close soon and squeeze as weekend press speculation on the way.

In for some at this level. buying back share every day and aiming for return to £6.40 level. Still makes a good profit and much under rated.
