#BRES Photo from meeting with one of several leading Chinese ??graphite offtake firms seeking both large flake & fines concentrates. We are speaking to some of most experienced #graphite processing firms on ? They ?% understand importance of securing future graphite supply

Yes I tend to think that he is diverting attention to the Chinese for some reason. DFC hasn't been mentioned for a while and everything is happening in China. Be interesting to see how this plays out.

I just found this piece online from a May 2022 article giving the components of an EV battery. It is from a 2000plus word article and I have taken the most relevant info from it. It relates to information for 2020. The important words to look out for are "Go to material for anodes"

Altogether, materials in the cathode account for 31.3% of the mineral weight in the average battery produced in 2020. This figure doesn’t include aluminum, which is used in nickel-cobalt-aluminum (NCA) cathode chemistries, but is also used elsewhere in the battery for casing and current collectors.
Meanwhile, graphite has been the go-to material for anodes due to its relatively low cost, abundance, and long cycle life. Since the entire anode is made up of graphite, it’s the single-largest mineral component of the battery. Other materials include steel in the casing that protects the cell from external damage, along with copper, used as the current collector for the anode.
Have a good weekend J@goodbuyexsell.

Is MR steering investors away from a definitive agreement with the DFC? All the focus is on the Chinese angle.

As I was writing this post, over 500,000 buys went through
Looks like the remaining 1 million bres stock is being placed from the 6.4 million punter. This will last into next week. BRES was marked down 3% at the opening before any transactions had been executed. Probably in anticipation. Good news is the MM;s are prepared to take the stock.#BRES has larger quantities of concentrate as bulk samples to deliver to potential buyers & engage with strategic groups.
From BRES twitter account 2 hours ago, it read

Yes they hate crossing thresholds, as the onus is on them to officially report and they don't like the honesty of doing so, and of people knowing their position/game.It's a shady way of 'investing' and shouldn't be allowed. Buy what you want, sell what you have, but selling what you don't have, shouldn't be legal.

I've had a couple of stinkers over the years, both leveraged and unleveraged. Most people that invest in the small cap market lose more than they make!! I've been at it 20 yrs and I'm still here. My point is that there no point in cursing those who use CFDs, used in the correct way, they are a good investment tool, particularly for tax purposes but like all investing, you have to be able to know what you can lose. Anyway, the good news is that we all seem to agree that BRES is heading in the right direction. Also SpreadEX and others hate crossing the reporting threshold, they won't offer the stock if they have too large of a position and if it was one investor, it would be much cheaper on the margin to place it across a few platforms to get a better average rate.

CopandRobber, if your trading style is for tax purposes, then that is up to you. However, you cannot deny the fact that over 70% of punters who trade with Spreadex, IG, Etoro, Plus500 and numerous other spread betting outfits have taken a bath at some time in their investment career. It goes with the territory if you are a leveraged trader. Nontheless, I am in no doubt the replication of 100k and 50k sells are from the person who held a 6.4 million position in BRES. Spreadex notified BRES when that stake went over 3% and the notified BRES went it went under. I said previously below the 100k and 50k trades are from the same source. Nothing can convince me otherwise. I trade CFD's and spreadbetting myself. as you are aware it is much more volatile and spreads are much wider. That is why they prefix all advertising with retail investors lose 71%, 75% and 81% with this company. But hey, you carry on and I hope you do well.

If you are a fully funded owner of Bres shares, then why don't you simply open a long brokerage account to hold your purchased shares?

Total rubbish! I have shares with SpreadEX as do other people I know, I can afford the total stake and will hopefully enjoy the benefits of a tax free profit in the future. I'm a long term holder as I see BRES as a good long term value play on Graphite.

It happens all the time. Look how many spread betting and CFD outfits advertise on ADVFN’s web site. When one register’s they are offered up to 8 times leverage. Then Kaput! They are wiped out.

They gamble on failure .There's going to be no failure here, hence the parasite spread better closing out.

I simply cannot understand the mindset of any punter who takes on 6mn+ shares in an illiquid AIM share, on margin.

Worth remembering that BRES and the testing of Oram-Cross keeps ticking off all the necessary boxes. We now have a large resource that has passed thorough testing on a bulk scale and exceeded expectations with margins expected in improve due to the results. Value will out, just a matter of when.

As I was writing this post a trade of 461k @ 5.20p has gone through.

When Spreadex notified it no longer held a notifiable interest in BRES, it was on behalf of a single punter who owned approx 6.4 million shares. After the notification the punter still had 3 million shares to dispose of. It is highly possible Spreadex are now at the rump of the remaining 3 million shares. This will go on for a few more days. One has to remember if there is a seller the MM's buy the stock. Why would they do that in such large amounts. Its because they have done basic research themselves. They currently are willing to buy the 250k plus transactions in BRES shares and will profit handsomely when the price rises. The guys who constantly criticise BRES on here are typical of city slickers who probably work for one of the CFD spread betting outfits that constantly advertise with the caveat 71%, 75%, 80% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFD's and spread-betting. The big seller of BRES is probably leveraged too much and needs the "bangers & mash" to settle their account or does not have the patience. Research shows Graphite is needed at every level of battery storage whether it be triple A batteries or EV cars. Bres is a small company with a large money rich asset. I have a large investment and I take a 18-24 month view before BRES will come to full fruition. Do not panic, it will come good.

Getting rid of their last few me thinks
Blencowe Resources Plc ("Blencowe" or the "Company"), is pleased to advise that it was notified on 21 August 2023 that Spreadex Ltd have notified that they no longer have a notifiable interest in the Company.

Great Test results and basically confirm what we already knew about the quality of graphite from Oram-Cross, it really does look like the project will produce extremely low cost quality graphite.

Disappointed but not surprised by the market reaction today. The results were 'as good as' reported a few weeks ago and the graphite price has slipped a lot recently.

Part DFS funding by DFC and offtake agreements seem to be what is needed to make the market take notice. That or a project funding partner or take over.

Hopefully now the large scale bulk sample has proven the graphite quality we may hear something from the DFC regarding funding, either they commit soon or it looks like the project will end up with China.

If they ever do a proper full feasibility and got a decent engineering firm to do it, all of the met work would be looked into and signed off by a QP......Imho ! DYOR!
