Could do with more clarity from the board ie a few updates here and there. I tried to find who owned what shares but I can’t see the share register.

Anyone have any idea who owns what with the shares ?

Hopefully you’ve timed your investment very well. Imho this is a long term buy and hold. The company has been in existence for about 120 years, it’s a robust business with careful guardians.

You might be right, it’s hard to tell whether they were buys or sales, though I’m guessing they were sells. Either way, let’s hope the brakes are now off.

Tim,not sure on that one as they looked like someone buying with total costs of 8k per trade,I bought several batches at 270 yesterday and wouldn't have thought a seller would have got 270 early this AM.Anyway things brightening up here now.

Could be, looks like they were part of a sell order for 270p. Onwards and upwards

I wonder if the 2x2946 sales this morning were finally clearing out the seller? Normally sales are in round numbers. Hope so. Then any good news won’t be stifled by large sales.

Thanks. He's getting on a bit then. Maybe just cashing out to enjoy the rest of his retirement or as you say, getting his finances in order.

gaffer, Hyslop crossed the 3% threshold on 27/2/14, I guess he had acquired additional shares from a previous significant shareholder, Neil Kirton, selling down his holding. Records prior to 2014 back to 1999 don’t mention share purchases or sales by Hyslop, so we don’t know how he built up a holding. Hyslop is 77.

If 70% are out of public hands no wonder this can be volatile

It does look like he's selling all of his shares. Tried looking him up but can't find anything about him. Do you know how he got his shares? Was he part of a fund raise and he's just getting his money back? Did find a broker target of 352p from Shore Capital.70% of shares out of public hands.

Stonehage Fleming, ICBC Standard Bank, Quilter Cheviot, LAS, Andrew and Michael Heller are the main shareholders. Worth pointing out that the CEO and CFO now have options at a strike price of 352p so are well incentivised to get the share price up.

gaffer, good point, I forgot about that. I think Hyslop continues to reduce, possibly to zero. Who knows why he’s selling, but I think someone has said he’s very elderly and may be thinking about inheritance issues.

Go to Marketscreener. I suspect James Hyslop has been selling down his holding for some time but has not yet released an RNS saying he’s below 3%.

I’ve been on the company website to see who owns what regarding shares. I can’t find nothing. Can someone tell me who owns what out of the 11 million shares please ?

Agree with what you are saying Tim. Updates would be good every quarter.

At some point I’ll try to get a meeting with the CFO. At the AGM the Board seemed sympathetic to more regular trading updates, eg publishing quarterly production and sales summaries, which most miners do. I don’t know if this is still on the cards, or whether the CEO would regard that as the thin end of the wedge, and result in shareholder clammer for never-ending streams of new info on operations. But surely as owners of the business we are entitled to more than is currently on offer?

Could be a trading update but I'd expect that after the year end.

None, that’s the point. No brokers cover BISI because clients can’t buy shares in sufficient quantity to make it possible to profit from the research.

are there any brokers forecasts to materially exceed!
