We really like this partnership from @SNICKERS
. They're set to become the official chocolate bar of the @NBA2KLeague
and plan to do original activations throughout the competition. A great example of a brand tapping into a new audience!

Fwiw, I welcome you're thoughts here superg. With my only two investments being VRS and BIDS, I now get you on two fronts They both share lots of similarities which is what drew me here. Disruptive, challenging the norm Independently verified for effectiveness Huge potential market Likeable BoD (for me this is important in building relationships) I'm in this for the ride unless something significantly changes for the worse.

been busy. There re some different views re revenue for this year.

One says £5.9 mill for the year forecast. Where is that forecast, just asking.

Didn't Bidstack exist and hence the amounts for 2018 are full year for the £300k. If not then you have to take salaries for that period to over £2 mill and staff have probably quadrupled since then.

I'm just trying to get a sensible feel.

I can see how some come top with £1 mill H1 if they think the 300k was 3-4 months etc.

However the news was quite clear so don't set yourself up to be disappointed bears will pounce on it.

"we expect that revenues in 2019 will be significantly second half weighted with perhaps a more marked split than previously anticipated."

In other words first half not good which is not unusual.

Thanks for the Alan Green link Parob.

Found the bold part (my emboldening) in the recent JD interview pretty encouraging:

What is the future for digital advertising within gaming? What opportunities have yet to be capitalised upon, and what new technologies will be developed?

There are a lot of opportunities that have yet to be capitalised on and with cloud-gaming services on the horizon we expect more opportunities to present themselves.

Being able to accurately measure both the watching audiences on streaming services and the impact of advertising on this secondary audience is something that would be hugely valuable. The ability to buy space directly via a channel or in-game at a peak time when a major influencer or esports team will be playing a particular title is something that would add immense value for brands.

In terms of new technologies, the big shifts are likely to come from 5G and cloud gaming but advancements in AR could also transform location-based AR gaming. What was started by Pokemon Go and recently updated with Harry Potter Wizards Unite could be taken to a whole new level with upcoming releases such as Microsoft’s Minecraft Earth. The opportunity for brands to create adventures within a universe like this could be huge.

Does make one wonder at the potential when points like that are raised. Should all go to plan this could be a great investment. Roll-on the next RNS and let's hope it has been worth waiting for!

I have too many already so will hold of adding until there is substantial news. Hope we can grow faster than adcolony though...two (or three) years would be good.

Agreed GN, for interest - Adcolony grew from $5m to $500m within 6 years.

Still need to understand how much is shared between publisher and Bidstack too.

Liking your logic genxyz but I guess that is still in the realms of reasoned speculation that many will consider insufficient to invest against. Even at half that revenue but looking for more games this should be much higher. If this year's forecast is for only 5.9m then the following year would have to show a huge change. Still patient,

From the venture beat article regarding Adcolony.

1 billion impressions per week (52 billion per year)

$500m revenue so circa 1 cent per impression.

Now linking into BIDS...

“Around 150,000 people play Football Manager on a typical day, spending an average of four hours in the game per day. According to Bidstack, this generates around 25m potential impressions per day, giving the game an advertising inventory worth over £100m per year.” - Value the markets article

That’s 25 million impressions x 365 = ~9 billion

X $0.01

We can now corroborate James’ statement.

$91,250,000 potential revenue from football manager alone.

Add brexit taking the pound to USD parity and a little rounding and there you have it - we on this board now have a solid revenue driver assumption! HURRAH!

I’m buying more.

Mike Hayes....now a non-exec here at Bidstack...this from 2017...

"We took the company from failure to $500m revenues. Bought several companies including Sports Interactive and Creative Assembly, sold over 25 million Mario and Sonic games, were one of the first on iOS with Super Monkey Ball, at one time were Steam’s top 3 customer. However, launching Gameboy is up there!"

Simon Gosling commented: "I'm thrilled to start working alongside such a talented and ambitious team who are at the cutting edge of digital advertising. Through its proprietary ad-tech, Bidstack enables brands to reach gamers at scale, at a time when the gaming market is larger than film and music combined. New technologies, such as 5G and cloud-based gaming, are set to increase the already huge global gaming audience (2.5 billion) exponentially. Bidstack possesses a tremendous vision for the future and I am excited to be part of a team where so much innovation is taking place."
