Garycook - good opportunity to pick up some high yielders once this all settles down - and not just in the housebuilders sector ;)

"Balls of Steel" Odey. Definitely have you looked at the price volatility of Odey Swan Fund?
I can't see any foreigners buying London property for at least a year. London prime will drop 25% maybe more.

A 52,000 pound director buy isn't too shabby! Probably could get them lower on Monday with the close on the DOW in the US yesterday though.

‘It should be recognised that the Group's forward sales have now peaked as we enter a period of enhanced delivery over the next two years

reservations for the first five months of the calendar year are 20% down on the same period last year

transaction levels in both the second hand and new homes market have not increased to the levels we all would hope for at this stage in the cycle’

Sounds like they have supply increasing, just as demand is reducing = big discounts ahead.

Thanks for interpreting that expression for me :)

Meanwhile yesterday Deutsche re-iterated BKG as a Buy:
14-Jun-16 Deutsche Buy - Price 2,990.00p Target [12 months] 4,185.00p Reiteration

That's +40%... wouldn't that be sweet...

Exactly.

I think the statements of the Chairman and CEO are clear, thoughtful and informative - and a model for such statements. Well done to them.

If you are a bear, you will see all the short term negatives in these statements.

If you are a bull, you will see the long term strength and quality of management.

I'm sitting this out for the moment. Too much risk and uncertainty of Brexit.

Possibly hedge fund shorting activity again (but only a guess); the aggregate short position has been creeping up again e.g Odey slightly increased but still off the peak overall position reported some weeks ago.

Puzzling, as the EU polls seems to be pointing towards Remain however much some of us wish it could be otherwise. Would have thought BKY sentiment would improve on a Remain decision, so if this is indeed hedge funds gambling on a late swing towards Brexit then imv they're taking rather a risk given the way the polls are looking (and the bookies).

Why do you think you would have to take a hit. They said we would be worst off after we left the erm instead we prospered.Another loan to Greece to pay off a previous loan-a recipe for disaster ,why would we want to stay on a sinking ship captained by unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats.

ps. The week pre the BREXIT vote has been described as 'peak-fear' week for the markets, with potentially heightened volatility esp if the outcome looks close.
