27/2/2023 13:47 | Yes, should be no tax unless you are an Australian resident | brownmruk
27/2/2023 10:32 | This will be my first divi payment. As I hold on the London exchange via a nominee account (iWeb) I'm assuming it's as a DI. Looks like there's no withholding tax, is that correct? Also will it get paid via iWeb as with any other dividend? | goldry
27/2/2023 08:07 | Good sign that they think Madagascar sign off is close and need to conserve cash. Best of both worlds - reasonable dividend and Fiscal terms (capital appreciation) close. | plasybryn
27/2/2023 07:23 | Ouch, divi amt slashed.Does not bode well | scepticalinvestor
27/2/2023 07:17 | The interim dividend has been reduced to 2 Australian cents, despite the upbeat tone of the rest of the report: | meanreverter
26/2/2023 22:56 | Strong results out and another nice dividend declared. | plasybryn

21/2/2023 16:53 | Not a bad day at the office. Anticipation of the update perhaps. | plasybryn
17/2/2023 21:00 | Incompetent more like it. Looked at 12p, then at 36p, calculated that 12p is 33.3% of 36p and so must have an upside of 66.7%. Can't do basic maths and is a stock market reporter. | mjneish
17/2/2023 17:25 | That's not a 66% upside! Lazy journo | aishah
17/2/2023 17:09 | Base Resources Ltd 66.2% potential upside indicated by Berenberg Bank Berenberg Bank set a target price of 36 GBX for the company, which when compared to the Base Resources Ltd share price of 12 GBX at opening today (17/02/2023) indicates a potential upside of 66.2%. | mondex
11/2/2023 06:38 | Several trades for me yesterday and last week ime out When and if the news comes that Madagascar have agreed to base mining I will buy back in good luck all | janekane
07/2/2023 09:30 | So new presentation and revised timescales. What i want to know is will they be able to extend Kwale etc. to remain in production until Toliara starts production, assuming it does of course. That is the crux of it. Is it looking more likely/more doable. Will the presentation today help answer that critical issue? | plasybryn
03/2/2023 21:20 | Hi plasybryn yes the £20.000 @14p order was filled And reported after the bell Let’s hope we get the results we all need, the win win situation is with the people of Madagascar | janekane
03/2/2023 18:11 | Well Jane we had another good day today. My view is that we either get positive news on Madagascar or another tasty dividend. It sounds like the numbers have been ok so no reason imo to cut the dividend. Potentially you win either way. Capital appreciation on the back of Madagascar progress or a nice dividend. As to Madagascar it sounds like the forthcoming election could be helping. Creating employment by sanctioning the mine will be a vote winner. Always a motive. Buying again today appears to show investors are thinking like me. | plasybryn
03/2/2023 07:35 | Morning plasybryn The next update will be on the 27th of February 2023 We will be told of any movement in Madagascar If we don’t hear any news regarding this beforehand then I will be getting very concerned that we will not be mining Madagascar in the years 2024/2025 Sentiment is declining in Australia as this problem fails to show signs of being resolved Ime expecting a significant drop in the dividend declaration Possibly a drop of 50% if indeed we get a divi at all this period Just my analysis after nearly half a decade of being involved here Good luck Jane | janekane
02/2/2023 11:36 | More buying. Recovering slowly ahead of next update. | plasybryn
31/1/2023 17:33 | Trading in Australia has a significant effect on the share price here Reported trades at the close this morning Australia stack exchange ASX BUYS 323866 SELLS 1,115097 ? Could be mainly buys but a good idea is to halve this figure each way buys and or sells 177455 | janekane
31/1/2023 08:31 | Is there a danger a divi cut is on the way? BSE qualifies for 8 long screens on Stockopedia. That's a very high metric indeed. Anyway I have taken a small position. Hopefully the II selling will abate soon. | aishah
31/1/2023 07:57 | Closed period perhaps? | plasybryn
31/1/2023 07:56 | Why no director buys at this bombed out price? | aishah
30/1/2023 06:24 | Had a reply from Co re weather. Weather has been taken into account in the design of the Toliara Project so there are unlikely to be any serious issues with the cyclone season. The port and jetty is protected by an outlying reef so it never gets particularly stormy. Communications and Investor Relations Manager | plasybryn
28/1/2023 15:32 | I hadn't realised such weather was a potential problem for mining operations. Sounds pretty harsh conditions. In January and February last year, four major storms hit Madagascar, killing at least 138 people, destroying 124,000 homes and displacing about 130,000 people | plasybryn
28/1/2023 15:30 | The storm and rain had so far displaced just over 60,000 people and damaged 13,000 houses and 100 classrooms, the European Commission's Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations department said in a statement on Thursday.Madagascar and Mozambique in recent years have been repeatedly hit by severe storms and cyclones that have destroyed homes, infrastructure and crops and displaced large numbers of people. | plasybryn
28/1/2023 15:29 | - Heavy rainfall that followed the landfall of Tropical Storm Cheneso in Madagascar has killed 16 people and left 17 missing, the government's Office for Risk and Disaster Management said. The storm, which reached land on Jan. 19, is the first for 2023 of an annual series that typically forms in the Indian Ocean off the coast of the island nation.Three people had died as the storm battered Madagascar and another 13 in the heavy rain that followed its departure, the office said in a statement late on Thursday. The rain was persisting, it said. | plasybryn |
