Morning Ken,

Been having a look at your somnus system on the other thread. Not trading it yet but looking into it - all looks very interesting.

Must admit that I was a little sceptical at first - intuitively it seems wrong to be effectively selling at a support level or buying at a resistance level! However, clearly the backtesting and actual trading of the system has been successful.

I always appreciate those that are prepared to share their work with others and wish you the best of luck with it. Hope to be able to make a meaningful contribution in the future.

Robert - I look in on Miata's thread each weekend, because he came up with a few ideas that sounded quite hopeful. I was looking forward to seeing how his version performed against mine, but he hasn't put up any results yet!

Ken I think the paid only post works well, anybody can read it and can still post on Miata free thread if they want, it certainly keeps the idiots at bay and you kindly answer any questions that are relevant on this and Miata's FTSE tread.

I'm glad you call your Somnus tread FTSE as anyone interested in FTSE might have a read were as nobody would if just called Somnus.

Good luck with a very likely 5788 long, but you'll have a long way to go to close

I'll add the figures to the form for tomorrow, if it will help you.

Ludlowe - Believe me there is no social class on here as far as I'm concerned. Have you noticed that since I started the other thread people like Hamsa etc haven't appeared once. People who hide behind multiple names and make a nuisance of themselves never allow their hobby to cost them money.

Rat attack - Any question relating to Somnus that you put on here will be picked up, but I will answer it on the other thread so that everyone on there can see it.

I just wish I'd created the name Somnus first and called the thread Somnus rather than FTSE.

I would but, I do Somnus on more than the UKX, and in normal hours and the 24 hours.
I also do other stuff on the UKX, and not a very good book keeper.
But last week overall was not too good:
Since midnight last night, to earlier today...

Jap225 - loss
DJI - profit
UKX - profit (24 hour & 8 till 16:30)
CAC - profit

It's meaningless to anyone but me.

Ken does a fine job :)

I back tested the DAX30 (and quite a few others).
It produced a loss most of the time.
The spikes you see!

(French CAC40 is more volatile than the DAX but never gets a mention(?))

Ken - am avidly watching your FTSE system, but haven't taken the plunge as of yet. Would be interested to see how it performs on the dax, as I prefer this to ftse. Still doing support/resistance and oscilators. Haven't been able to post on your ftse page as it is a premium page and already pay for L2 from cfd provider, also get excellent charts with IG.
