29/10/2010 05:24 | TheTa, does this effect British banks that much, seems to be Spain's Gov causing Santander's problems. Market seems to look for anything to kick UK banks at present, so I expect another down day again for Barc. Anyone with positve thoughts for Barc? | robertfaulkner

28/10/2010 20:12 | :) I think we are limited to what the SB provides - I know other apps use trailing stops that are only triggered when you reach target X. This would be great but is not provided by IG as far as I can see. Will be interesting to see if there is a change in performance are using the different HLC data. | capricious
28/10/2010 20:05 | capricious - 28 Oct'10 - 20:53 - 63123 of 63123 ==================== In all honesty I think Somnus is just fine the way Ken had it. The back tests just gave me some confidence in using the FTSE100, as it shows consistency. I agree it would be nice to cut the losses, and think about it a lot, so far with little improvement on what Ken has already got!!! Play about with it too much and then it's not a Mechanical system at all! (but I will still play about with it!) :) | thetatrader

28/10/2010 19:53 | Ken, Theta, I see all the discussions about getting the most accurate EOD figures, but isn't it better to stick with the figures that the majority use? Pivot Points aren't a universal constant that if you put in ever more accurate data, its performance is correspondingly enhanced. PP performs (sometimes) because many follow it in its various forms. I thought the key is in deciding how to use those levels, i.e your entry/exit/staking/l I think better efforts would be spent somehow cutting the loses, whilst maximising the wins. Although this isn't probably compatible with a setup and 'leave it' system Your thoughts? | capricious
28/10/2010 19:49 | KB You having a bad day? Don't let the nutters get you down, as there are plenty of us who appreciate all your hard work | the juggler
28/10/2010 19:45 | On second thoughts, I'm begining to think this thread is a waste of my time so I'll clear the header at the weekend. | kenbachelor
28/10/2010 19:42 | Ludlowe - If you start your own thread you put what you want into the header and you won't be distracted. The charts are all in a window and there is a link to skip past them. Or alternatively you can filter my name and you will never be distracted again. | kenbachelor
