I read somewhere that Weatherspoons were busy buying bankrupt pubs. Bit of a lively guy, and good luck to him!

Johnwise: it is mental, similar to RBLX just recently, which IPO'd at multiples of a fund raising round just months prior.(I note Deliveroo's valuation has apparently doubled since the JAN fund raise)....still if it's hot be hot money, but nothing more than that.

All these valuations are crazy at the mo on stocks that have thrived in lockdown but clearly will be impacted by the reopening of the economy... Deliveroo is a fine example but as the saying goes 'make hay while the sun shines' , just don't get caught on the wrong side !

How can a company thats never made a profit be worth 9 billion.Ocardo,Tesla and Uber are the same.

"It's unbelievable the hype around Deliveroo considering they make a 200 million loss year on year pay no tax and have the majority of their delivery staff on the same wage as kids doing paper rounds, anyone can duplicate it and nobody will want takeaways when the economy opens up. "

Will Deliveroo shares deliver? The takeaway food app has thrived in lockdown and is now planning to float for up to £9bn...

'Buffett indicator' at all-time high, indicating soaring valuations

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett's preferred market gauge has surged to an all-time high, signaling global stocks are extremely overpriced and could crash in the coming months, Business Insider reports.

The Buffett indicator continues to flirt with record highs in the US, partly because federal officials have pumped trillions of dollars into the economy over the past year.
