Elon Musk a few years ago telling a room of fantastically expensive fighter pilots that they and their planes were obsolete (thanks to drones).UK still thinks we need aircraft carriers though.

We don't need a large army, we have nukes and like Einstein said, the 4th world war will be fought with bows and arrows. We have far too many on the Government payroll as it is...1 in 5 jobs in N. Ireland is a Government job. Most civil servants are useless, could never get a proper job in the private sector.

John I bought at 137 in Jan 155 in Feb there is a good enough reason. Write offs etc already built in ....whole lot of money no longer invested in retail shares ....it has to go someplace and amount of profit barclays made will make, means it is a safe haven not really that risky an investment which is why more and more analysts reckon it'll be 225 before long

We employ 5.5 million people in government jobs but can only have an army with 72,000? The Government needs to wake up, they are falling asleep concerning the UK Armed forces considering the world at this present time., Governments past and present never learn.

It's great that it's to the upside though BARC really has turned into a different animal since the update, from a trading perspective. Having to be careful in reading it for what it is.

Pubs and restaurants are losing an estimated £1.7billion a week

High unemployment, debt credit card maxed out, mortgage arrears

150 thousand renters are not paying many could join the escalating number sleeping on the street, food banks have never been so busy

"Today's lockdown audit illustrates the crippling impact that 12 months of curbs have had on swathes of the economy, some 15,000 shops expected to never reopen."

Possibility of lockdown extended for another 6 months

I've been stuck at 12000 shares since first lock down - I was in at 1.82 but promised myself I'll trade em as soon as I'm just over break even. Risky as I'm relatively long on BARC but traded these in my ISA twice this last 7 days and so far have a net gain of 356 shares. Boufgt 12345 shares at 1.798 this morning but with the .5% tax my cost ended up at 1.81p each Happy days tho morning The truck is when to sell again

Anyone get a chance to take a top up this morning ? I missed it again ...

The 178 has really showed its strength, Barc is doing a great jib at consolidating in the early 180's . Imo I don't think it will be long before we test some new highs.

14m a day buyback will certainly help us along ... gla

Ponzi scheme Update

Bitcoin prices were flat on the day at $57,900 according to TradingView.com. The world’s leading digital asset topped $59,800 in a weekend high but failed to breach the psychological $60k barrier once again.

"world’s leading digital asset" LOL
