OT - Thanks Manics, I'll keep a beedy eye on CEY, there's certainly some weakness in the price right now but maybe a decent opportunity for an in/out for 5 to 10%! :-)

The worst part is our western governments know why and how this virus spread yet have done nothing.

forcemode: CEY. Great yeild. No debt. Throwing off cash. Good insurance against (coming?) market strains.Rejected a bid at 126p very early this year. I recently doubled up at 103. My first buy at 118 not great, but I just like holding it right now.

It really is sickening. Communist China unleash this virus on the world without any apology or acknowledgement then continue to prosper while every other country is crippled and brought to its knees. Some action should be taken against China, I dont mean military but they should be punished. Why is nothing being done?

Back down at our 178/9 test area ... my rose tinted glasses still tell me that the fundamentals haven't changed and the bank is still making strong profits. If they push the IB side of the business in the far east then this could make for even bigger profits.

I just took a small top up at 178.8 and hoping for a strong end to the week. Gla

There's 3 trades there at 179.66 with the highest tranche at 1061, so a company the size of BARC are purchasing in such small batches? Small wonder the buy backs are not having a positive impact!

Monday started with the ftse red but ended blue, now tuesday starts with the ftse red ....

Interesting to see how this week pans out.. I am hoping we hop over the vaccine jitters of europe and end the week with few good blue sessions.

imo the ftse should be higher relative to the global markets and catch up is still due. Whats your thoughts Manics ?

I really don't understand why they got involved in the first place. Just let the banks trade commercially, which is what they are there for !

Waynex : happy for barc to consolidate around 181-184, then looking for a good push forward. My feeling is that Barcs share price will be underpinned and strengthened by the buyback .... lets she how she goes.
