BCS down 18 cents after hours another 3 pence equivalent, 161 now.

The downtrend is firmly intact, it's just a lot of people seem to have convinced themselves otherwise.

I hve gone very short on BARC from 170 today.

Without wishing to side necessarily with the mongers of doom,
at this point sitting painfully on the fence (ouch!),
please can someone tell me at which point the downward trend has been broken?

BCS equiv 1.64.

The big bears will be out to play in the morning.

Ishares RNS fully priced in.

8000 DOW holding was a fantasy....back to 6500 when Barack gets home.

Decent markdown methinks...say 162, before drifting aimlessly and unloved into the 150's.

Back to 155p?........maybe.

Bear in mind the heady heights of 600-800p were based upon all the money they were making in the good ole days.

The G20 Summit announcements pretty much means that can't happen again, so I would suggest fair value for this share in a normal operating environment would be around 300-400p per share, but we are still a long way from a normal operating range.

I personally hope Barclays can keep above 150p, but I suggest the level of regulation that is about to be applied may mean we see some significant profit taking over the next few weeks/months.........

It is possible, but be quick because this is showing signs above £2.00 and I have no position.

I hope it does hit £1.55, well done for those who stuck it out.

One is looking to join the club soon

lab,

My post 19375 gives the reasons why I think the market will fall again. Its my own view. I dont believe the 'green shoots' story. History repeats itself, repeatedly. Barc will outperform the market as will some other stocks. Barc remains my only equity holding.

Phil Roberts from Barclay Capital on CNBC today puts his case that the market is changing to a bull market. Makes more sense than a dozen one liners on here.
