I couldn't agree more. Got in from 70p and will sell at £4 .Second guessing which way the daily movements will go is too difficult . Buy and hold. Long term - 1-2 years you can't go wrong.

BCS not been too strong today, neither have BAC and Citigroup, started off well but ran out of steam pretty quickly. still 30 mins to go though.

tried for the last 15mins of trading to sell at 170p but usual barclays stockbrokers failed both online and no dealer on the phone - useless !!!!

hope it holds for tomorrow - suspect it will but a little choppy probably - imho.

Gordonbrown what makes you say that ishares sale will be announced tomorrow. I cant find any evidence that its tomorrow, where have you seen it mentioned? or just a prediction??

lab has been unable to see beyond charts. the data are just horrible. don't just get sucked in by a few positive indicator recently.

market always has tedency to overshoot. three days rally on no concrete results spooked me. i am short ftse at 4153.5. rally will end here and will prove to be a sucker rally. we'll get many more of these.
