Hi all , was thinking that there would be more talk on reaction Engines which bae systems owns about 40% (I think ) as they have just pass a test on the engine of which the engine was tested at 3 times the speed of sound which is equal to the fastest man planes made today , and the next test coming up will be testing this new air breathing engines at 5 times the speed of sound while it’s in air breathing mode meaning that it may one day used in a new breed of passenger planes that could fly at twice the speed of concord, (an estimated 5.4 times the speed of sound)if used on fighter planes could out run any missile sent after them (if there’s a good head start ) but the first thing they would use the engines for would most likely be the sabre space plane that bae Systems would be making, if this sabre space plane gets off the ground it will reduce cost of flights out to space station by an estimated of 85% ( that’s cheap ) and would become the main player in future flight out to space and the moon

That would be pretty good business if they can charge enough for the design and consultancy to implement it.

No, especially as the Germans have extended the Saudi ban until September. Thought that might have had an adverse effect on share price

"While the British public may have thought they had voted to get away from such bureaucratic institutions, at present the proposed Withdrawal Agreement commits the UK to taking part, including providing funding and troops. Effectively, under May’s Deal, UK taxpayers would be funding the EU army. The text states: “to the extent possible under EU law” the UK will be a part of the European Defence Fund, Permanent Structured Cooperation, and the European Defence Agency.

This is simply unacceptable and rightly it is a concern which Get Britain Out and others have raised with the Government. The UK cannot be dragooned into these organisations against its will"

More evidence UK getting sucked into EU Army..

Leftie source.
Should appeal to een the Europhiles!

Many people have ignored the arguably far more prominent and severe problems with the Withdrawal Agreement than the much talked about backstop. As a result, the threats to our sovereignty and military independence have gone unchallenged. In a recent poll via Twitter, Veterans for Britain found 98% of 6,982 respondents preferred a No Deal Brexit to May’s Deal and all the commitments which come with it. You can see the poll here.

We are frequently told these tales of military union are scare stories by Brexit extremists. However, just last week Hans-Peter Bartels, the German Parliamentary Commissioner for the Armed Forces said: “First, we need a proper defence committee in the European Parliament. Second, we need a European Commissioner for defence and therefore a Directorate General for defence too. Finally, we need a European defence headquarters.”

BAe remains one of the World's leading defence companies, making good profits , dividend gone up year on year for at least a decade , relatively Brexit- proof etc . Hard to imagine the share price won't see £6 again before too long. Hold and forget in my book.
