Hi folks I'm new to this so can anyone tell me if they have received their zinnwald shares as I haven't got mine yet , if it makes any difference I hold them in an isa (crest) with a different provider

Bacanora Lithium has announced a Distribution in Specie, whereby holders will be issued with 0.23589 Zinnwald shares for every existing Bacanora Lithium share held. The ex-entitlement date is 20th December 2021.

New shares will be issued to entitled shareholders upon receipt.

A great day for the ongoing Chinese domination of the metals needed for the future.All very unfortunate and a lost decent investment opportunity for those prepared to take a slightly longer view . Classic western market short termism as opposed to the long view of the CCP.Should be in the economic textbooks of the future.

Now the bid is unconditional I would expect things to start moving quite quickly....indeed just seen the majority of the Board have resigned.....

So ordinarily funds in the next 2 to 4 weeks but obviously I am just guessing and Xmas / New Year plus Omicron could delay matters.....

As this condition has now been satisfied, Bacanora intends to hold a board meeting today to approve the making of the Zinnwald Distribution to all Bacanora Shareholders on the register at 6.00 p.m. today (the " Record Date "), with the transfer of the ZLP shares expected to be made to Bacanora Shareholders by 22 December 2021.

Well all my BCN shares have disappeared from my Halifax share account without a trace, would be nice to know where in cyberspace they are, or some sort of tracking mechanism.
Gangfeng claiming 72.9% acceptance today from 4th Dec, so maybe they have crossed the line at 75%

Article in yesterday's MoneyWeek entitled "Lithium embarks on a long boom".Chinese like long booms whilst M&G and others can only see short term profit.Apparently rising demand for EVs has propelled lithium carbonate prices in China up by 276% since the start of the year to $30,950 a tonne.And our board wants to give the company away.

Will be very interested to see if there is another Acceptance Level Update tomorrow. I suspect not and silence will reign. Don't think they have a chance of getting to 75% with this offer as it stands.

The board couldn't be more out of alignment with the shareholders. Tiny stake in business. Loads of options vesting early if taken over. No wonder they want an easy takeover. Just my opinion btw.

Shareholder rebellion "Think BIG" took another serious step forward today. RNS posted (though bizzarly not tagged with ticker so didn't come through on my feed. Open letter of challenge to the takeover sent to BCN.

So, what a bizarre situation. The deadline is up but the scheme cannot go unconditioned because of the Mexican hold-up. They are only at 56.6% acceptance, so nowhere near the minimum 75% level that they really require.
What do they do... open up another week for people to take the same substandard offer?! These are the actions of a child!
I wouldn't even be surprised if they used the Mexican IRCC as an excuse to cancel the whole scheme to go back to the original JV agreement! :D
But I still want my ZNWD shares as a dividend, so dish it out Secker! ;P

@godofserpents. Thanks for info. On balance, I think I will hold on until if/when it is unconditional. It appears a no brainer to me to hold on, assuming we can still accept afterwards. Its all a bit unclear and risky but we should make Ganfeng sweat for a better offer. Each investor has there own criteria to make a decision, dependant on holdings and risk, of course... There is a little to be made on Zinnwalds shares, assuming they climb , if takeover happens. Thanks.

They don't need 75% to continue with the scheme and make it unconditional, only 50%. Of course, they still need FECC approval which I think could be a get out of jail card to go back to the original JV, if that is what they want? Maybe because they want to keep all of the ZNWD shares?!

Personal I think 75% and a desisting is looking very unlikely now. Ganfeng tried a cheeky offer, probably on the advice of the BoD. Heads will probably roll. I think the current BoD will have to go.

Options include;
-Ganfeng could just be happy with the controlling stake of shares that they have and push forward.
-They could up the whole current offer.
-They maybe could buy more in the open market, pushing the price up. As they have over 30% they wouldn't have to make a takeover bid, just get to 75% and say they want to delist.

It isn't over yet but remains very interesting. I could be wrong and all the ii take the offer and the last minute but that isn't normal in takeovers. These kind of underhand takeovers rarely go wrong and it looks like Mr Secker and his friends truly are as incompetent as pointed out by some many years ago.
