Bacanora Lithium PLC PUSU extension

In accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Code, the Bacanora Independent Directors have requested, and the Takeover Panel has consented to, an extension to this deadline until 5.00 p.m. (London time) on 1 July 2021. This revised deadline may be extended further with the consent of the Takeover Panel and at the request of the Bacanora Independent Directors, in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the Code.

There can be no certainty that a firm offer will be made even if the pre-conditions referred to above are satisfied or waived. This Announcement has been made with the approval of Ganfeng and a further announcement will be made in due course.

I think the deadline is 5pm today, so I expect they may do it after the market closes 4:30 onwards maybe, it may suit them better to do it that way.
Either way it will be RNS, so either delay, takeover or no takeover, I would imagine.
I'm guessing with the we don't want to talk about it AGM RNS it will be takeover, but that is purely my speculation.

If that is so then there must be an RNS because it's price sensitive. Assuming either is the case they can't withhold the information to suit themselves . There has been no RNS which suggests they don't know. If they still don't know by 4.30 would they then be obliged to RNS that no offer was formalised and therefore lapsed.?

They need an RNS saying an offer has been made.
If no offer the Board would have to say so too.

Not sure of the rules concerning the anticipated RNS . Is it that an RNS is required if the firm offer has been made AND/OR if it has NOT been made. i.e. withdrawn?

Maybe they see something that PIs don't? Easy to scream undervalued when you dont see the detail under the hood, so to speak.

I think it's safe to state categorically that they don't.They will be aware of the depth of feeling on the matter amongst many PIs and hopefully as well amongst the institutional holders.However they are going to receive an email from me and very many others I suspect along the lines of why are they minded to recommend an offer that so hugely undervalues the company.
