21/5/2021 09:14 | I'll be joining later. Thanks for setting this up. | husbod
21/5/2021 09:10 | I'm surprised that the Chinese cash has got here that fast. They clearly mean business with this opportunistic takeover and I expect everything to motor through at a rate of knots. Our only hope is that one of the large shareholders jholds their nerve and says "80p would seem fairer than the pittance you're offering". If you were one of the institutions why wouldn't you try that? | igbertsponk
21/5/2021 09:01 | I, too, disagree with an objection to the takeover. If you believe the asset has a much greater value you can invest directly into Ganfeng since it is a listed company. You simply open an account that will trade in Chinese securities. | ptolemy
21/5/2021 06:41 | Yip rimau 1 totally with you on this update I’m going to purchase if they play silly 🥴 | linton5
21/5/2021 06:35 | Good to see we have received the $34m from Ganfeng who are now paid up as a 29% shareholder. Getting cross border cash from China is a bureaucratic nightmare so confirmation is good and the approvals from the Chinese Govt should make the acquisition easier. Operational update was a little light (we have moved some dirt) but the key takeaway is that we are still on track for a 2023 commissioning, albeit H2. Looking forward to receiving my 67p and a project cost update when the tendering is complete, i am sure the project cost will be significantly lower than the official $450m now that we are sourcing everything from China. | rimau1
20/5/2021 21:48 | Ganfeng need this production. It's the next mine after Lithium Americas' to be able to produce. They won't throw their toys out the pram if the takeover is rejected. But as for the share price? It may temporarily dip. And it's your option to vote for this - But we gathered over 250 people to stand against this. The mine has a 'value' to it now, and any drop is likely to be temporary once the dust settles. | dee12345
20/5/2021 20:29 | I disagree wiht any objection to the takeover. The stock will fall back if its stopped. There is significant development risk. I realise many of you guys have a high cost of entry, but I do not, if I were long from 100p I may have a different view, but I doubt it. | rjmahan
20/5/2021 07:33 | Course you have permission | igbertsponk
19/5/2021 14:59 | They have two options. Make it 'official' as you say or with various parties agreement extend that date. Given Ganfeng appear not to be in a position to go ahead with the buyout for some months then in all likelihood the first of several extensions would be most likely. | carcosa
19/5/2021 14:46 | Thanks for that clarification It is my understanding that 3rd June deadline as per the RNS means that they must make the offer official by then? | greenvulcan
19/5/2021 13:55 | A form 8 (and 8.5) is a standard requirement under the take-over code. For PI purposes they can be ignored. They are on the whole meaningless and you will likely find many more are going to be issued. The company has already indicated they will be giving/seeking multiple date extensions to Ganfeng under the take-over code. It will be several months before a formal offer is likely to be announced. The 3 June date is a non-event. | carcosa
19/5/2021 09:45 | Surely today's RNS of BCN OPD form 8 is a sign of the offer nailed on being official pretty damn soon....GLA LTH | greenvulcan
18/5/2021 15:13 | Yawn....boring...come on make the official offer!! And make it much higher Just Weak hands selling upMinimum 20% to be made from here for any new arrivalsAll my own musingsGLA LTH | greenvulcan
18/5/2021 12:13 | Ganfeng are pursuing opening a lithium brine project in Argentina and have also inked an initial deal in setting up a lithium battery project in Argentina the jigsaw is falling into place South America will be massive regarding lithium in the future desperately needed I’d say for that part of the world creating many jobs and helping there economy | linton5
14/5/2021 16:00 | Of course they know it's worth a lot more otherwise they wouldn't be willing to keep buying into it and then making an offer for the whole lot. I will only sell if forced to.lth. | r65767
14/5/2021 15:11 | If on the 5th June they do make the offer I would expect the price to go into the 62p to 65p range as I assume the Chinese will be bidding not just up to 30% they currently have 28.8% but having made the bid they can buy on the market buying at todays price rather than paying 67.5p in eight months time. | mark1000
14/5/2021 14:57 | Bid confirmed price will rise - no bid price likely to fall hence a binary play. I do agree that imho the share price and proposed offer of 67p is valuing the company way to low though. | catch007
14/5/2021 12:58 | Definitely not a binary bet, I feel the bidder knows this is worth more than they are selling for right now else why even talk of a bid and enquire. This sector is definitely going to be extremely busy over the next 10-15 years maybe 40x current demand. So it's a good place to put your money even if the bid doesn't go through. | stevegrass777
14/5/2021 10:23 | Haha..hardly a binary bet!! :-) I’ve been buying a few too but difficult in any size | 0rient
14/5/2021 07:43 | Taken the binary bet this morning at 55.7p of an offer being confirmed on 3rd June by the bidder. GLA | catch007
13/5/2021 10:31 | How is this n excellent deal when most of us think the share is worth North of 2 quid? | igbertsponk
13/5/2021 10:19 | The more people sell the more likely it is for shareholders to accept the deal. In any case it is an excellent deal for most shareholders. So the risk is primarily around the uncertainty the offer will be made. The pre-conditions in either direction look fairly trivial and I would expect no more than a couple of months before the offer is lodged. | hpcg |
