very decent afterhours too there................and a very decent response to the 200dma line too.............and if my eyes don't deceive me a close above 710 means that line now becomes a support line.......well according to investtech anyhow........................

Global Stocks, U.S. Futures Rise; Barclays, Mitsubishi UFJ Gain

Aug. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Stocks in Europe and Asia advanced and U.S. index futures climbed after a capital injection into Countrywide Financial Corp. reassured investors the fallout from the global credit rout will be limited.

Barclays Plc, the third-biggest U.K. bank, and Societe Generale SA led an advance by banks in Europe. Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. climbed in Japan.

The Morgan Stanley Capital International World Index added 0.8 percent to 1,543.55, while Standard & Poor's 500 Index jumped 10 to 1,478.7 as of 10:15 a.m. in London. Countrywide Financial, the biggest U.S. mortgage lender, said yesterday it sold $2 billion of preferred stock to Bank of America Corp. to shore up its finances amid the nation's worst housing slump since the Great Depression. The shares jumped 20 percent in Europe.

``It's a significant vote of confidence,'' said Simon Carter, who helps oversee $3 billion at Aegon Asset Management in Edinburgh. ``The subprime problem now looks more contained.''

30k buy order at 500p and a 40k sell order at 900p................they do nothng more than make the book look wierd............

yep, market sentiment seems to be improving.............even to the point where the big boys are happy for the fed to wait until the sept 18th meeting to decide rates...........seems the market is pricing in cuts...............

that'll spur growth and ease some pressures....................
