Im just saying with profits of £17 million you can hardly say this is ever going to be £11 a share without a clever acquisition.£11 a share equates to a market cap of £648 million you can hardly justify that with current revenues of £137 million.Axon should take advantage of the confidence the city has in it and make a share based acquisition.

Axon has been buying companies and is still growing
They are the market leader so the peers need to catchup
If anything down here axon is a takeover target from a multi £bn company

Market consolidation started with xansa already!

Axon need to make a big acquisition that will boost the share price and to justify the share price or to maintain the justification for it's premium compared to its peers.With the confidence the city has in this company I could only see such growth as welcoming.

morning all.............so overly ravaged then and no fundamental reason for the carnage of last week............

buyers a plenty this morning..........and why not.........think back......the share price is still just lower than what the broker targets for the end of last years earnings!!!!!!!!!!!!!

looking like a very strong bounce............

Techs? You could try Scotty - they have just won a big military order for comms equipment. Otherwise I bought some GPC - Genesis Petroleum - on the drilling schedule.

You could do a lot worse than getting more AXO.

morning all............well a decent enough bounce there from the states...........in the absence of any bad news this weekend there may be some recoveries going on Monday..............could be quite fun now rebuilding the portfolio...........staying away from banks/financials though for a while..........

maybe a few more techs..............any recommendations there folks????????

Henry - explain how your charts can foretell anything other than what the share price has previously been. Chartists always sound wise after the event.

Do they foretell, for instance, what the impact of the next trading statement will be?
Give us an example of this wisdom and we will see if you are right.

IMO, an investor uses a chart like a drunk uses a lamp post - for support rather than illumination.

It is important to remind yourself of the cash flow and profitability of companies at times like this and doing some real analysis instead of reaching for the goats entrails and crowing 'I told you so'.

Other than that, I would call this week a buying opportunity. It has been a good week for those with cash in hand. I have bought a few grand more of AXO but I am looking also at DNX which is well under a tenner and at my long term bet NPE which has also lost 10% last week. Other than that, my oil stocks have held up rather well.

not a loss hh, just a give back some of my profits.
been long on this for 3 years so plenty in the bag so far...
admit did not see this coming, at 785 last friday i was comfortable with my position[s], for this stock to drop 115 in 5 trading days is a once in a decade event,a ripple in the big pond.

why have you got some much invested to loose 41k with out an understanding of support and resistance lines!!!

spend a few quid on a good book.

Cost me a few quid
But still alive
If it takes one of these every so often to help create new highs then im all for that
Will just have to invest in one of those electic pad things for myself and shout clear every once in a while

ouch mr...............well Axon/QXL are the only stocks I now hold....................plenty of cash from the others and just got out with my shirt on one.......lol.................so will be looking next week now to cash in............

very busy auction...........670 by the looks..................

edit........670.5..............

powering down now.............may pop back later to see how the US is getting on.............the Fed seems to be helping them out a little so you never know.........

nearly time to wander off for a beer..........the pub garden was great today.........

question for you, how come it's all of a sudden gone bad in the US??? Interest rates have been fixed for what 12 months now, unemployment has come down and wage inflation has gone up, ie more money in the pockets and more people in work................so how come now it is a problem, or is it still perceived and companies using the excuse to close off underperforming funds???????????

.........and maybe some of this mornings shorters will close prior to the weekend close..................think they've made enough especially with the share price hanging around the 200dma mark which they know is good for supporting profit making stocks....................
