13/9/2021 08:59 | The 3 declared short positions from JP Morgan, Goldmans and WorldQuant have all disappeared (from bloomberg). Goldmans was the last short until this week. | walkernbudgie
13/9/2021 08:10 | If Naked is buying then his followers will follow and I'm in.Totally agree it's a great time to buy | ch1ck
13/9/2021 00:33 | This share is on my watch list . Waiting for it to drop lower which I think it will. Let's wait and see. Good luck all | candid investor
10/9/2021 13:57 | Naked Trader has updated his site. He was stopped out of this but has now bought back in. He say's the fall is way overdone and expects a rerating soon. | mallorca 9
10/9/2021 10:49 | All other things being equal, I think the company would be forgiven for the supply problems as it is now acknowledged that this issue is both worldwide and also not industry-specific. They have now resolved the disputed 'Next Generation Head Protection' contract so the big issue remaining is the body armour tests. If they get the all-clear and can start supplying, I think most of the downside risk is covered, but if the body-armour fails its tests again, all bets are off. Fingers firmly X-ed! | jeffian
10/9/2021 10:35 | Remember this is being kicked out the Ftse250 which I feel has been a consistent weight on the share price recently. The changes become effective on the 20th Sept which is a week on Monday. I would expect that by the middle of next week the supply will dry up. The profit warning back in August driven by supply disruptions should be fixable and the positive order announcement earlier this week hopefully marks a change in fortunes for Avon. | clanger66
10/9/2021 10:18 | Clearing out a few more sellers before the move to the up side | ch1ck
09/9/2021 15:15 | Hopefully this is around the support level at worst. | clocktower
08/9/2021 13:10 | Looks like a fair bet at this time imo. So hopefully more upside than downside at present. | clocktower
08/9/2021 12:16 | Hopefully with this contract and future news on progress this is the bottom and from now on the stock will start its proper recovery. | fuji99
08/9/2021 11:29 | The company is now fully focused in that direction but has made some errorsTime to shake up the board? | ch1ck
08/9/2021 11:27 | I think it is obvious to most that this is an exceptional UK success story.I remember playing golf with one of the directors 15 years ago when they spotted the revenue gains were bigger and less volatile in defence than tyres and milkshakes (joking)He said to me you should buy shares if you believe the story | ch1ck
08/9/2021 11:13 | Very positive . AVON is currently undervalued and will bounce back strongly. | mallorca 9
08/9/2021 11:07 | No stock follows a direction without a change except if it files for bankruptcy. In our case, this is an excellent business with a niche market where the barre is high to enter. I have just bought a few for my Isa. I will leave and forget because first, as soon as it flags up progress in testing, shipping will start and will fly up again. Then I can see a high probability this will be taken over in the near future as its unique business will complement the portfolio of products of many military and civil equipment manufacturers in the UK and the US. If to be taken over, I hope not before reaching £35+. | fuji99
08/9/2021 10:08 | Certainly good news that they are beginning to resolve those problems that are within their control, but I wish their RNS's were more transparent and open. One always feels that they're not giving the whole picture. Sure, they've resolved the challenge over the 'Next Generation Head Protection' contract, but they didn't entirely 'win' it - a $93m "sole source" contract becomes a $87.6m "dual sourced" contract. Small amounts, maybe, but cut price = smaller margin and dual source allows a competitor's foot in the door for future developments. Successfully getting through the testing of the body armour is the next hurdle to be crossed and after that, things should settle down a bit. Sure, there are still supply-chain issues but that seems to be a worldwide problem and not specific to Avon, so hopefully they won't get caned for that. | jeffian
08/9/2021 09:56 | Indeed, added long today, quite agree with you regarding a takeover, could become a possibility here imo | mcrudden
08/9/2021 09:51 | Getting into an interesting zone. Great if it goes lower but rate of decline slowed, consolidation, then some up time. Decent news and the low initial value isn't the point, there is demand upto $80M from this. Worth a starting punt imho, then add time. | p1nkfish
08/9/2021 09:46 | Follow the positive breadcrumbs. The fact is there is a strong commerical relationship. My view is a US defense firm or PE firm will attempt a takeover | conwyrebel
08/9/2021 09:36 | ba of ba is still ba- Money from down the side of the sofa for the US Army - "U.S. Army has placed an order worth $1.3 million for first article test samples for delivery in the first half of our 2022 financial year. " Very much toe in the water (imo) Mr Market seems to agree and continuing to fall a little bit - | pugugly

08/9/2021 09:04 | It’s clear the US Army is committed to Avon and they appear to have a strong relationship. I would hope that Analysts now re rate this stock to a BUY and retail investors who cashed out after the last years rises might be tempted to come back in for the uplift. It’s completely over sold so one of those nice oops to get back into | conwyrebel
08/9/2021 08:51 | i agree with you Ch1ck | robow
08/9/2021 08:42 | Walker They track so will be forced to sell, but historically any share that leaves the fold normally is higher by year end.I think it has something to do with embarrassment of the board and institutional pressure to show they are driving the business forwardI see this as a hiccup and an amazing opportunity to pick up shares t levels re 2017 | ch1ck
08/9/2021 08:37 | I'm in I agree a Possible takeover target. But this removes some of the negative sentiment from the start of the decline.Give it two days for analysts to digest the news and it will be above 2000 | ch1ck
08/9/2021 07:45 | The long awaited contract now in place. Looks like delaying tactics from a competitor. Should restore some faith. | 18bt |
