Looking harder at the thread header has made me realise just how out of date the information is. In fact, it's almost Biswellian disinformation now.

Thanks for the responses; on balance, I therefore intend to go ahead and create an up-to-date and more user-friendly thread; obviously it's up to people as to whether they like it enough to attend it, but please do have a look. It should be running shortly; I'll post the link when it is.

Dave - my vote is for a thread springclean.

It makes sense for an active ADVFN user to manage the header as newsworthy links can be added etc.

Even with broadband and wheely mice it can get tiresome scrolling past reams of charts, and there is also the risk of rsi!

I vote for a new thread. It is not as if the wisdom of the ages is enshrined in this one. I am sure Dooby Dave would do a good job. As a legacy of Ashley why not have a Fib chart (just one), a long term one, e.g.

i appreciate that this thread might be a bit tiresome for those without broadband (i have , so it is no problem for me) but i am willing to go along with whatever the majority think.
i could create a great thread with tramps and cider images if requested :o)

I cannot speak for others,
Maybe your connection is slow.
Why change what works, when people can easily catch up in the flow of opinion,
and lets face it, at most times there aren`t hundreds of us.
If we had Absolute Returns on here, god bless him, there would be a dozen
new threads to choose from and no continuity.

However I`m not a committee leader, everyone should have their own opinion.

Andy,
Bis will follow us like an angry Wasp, and when he`s paid off Barclays, got
another pair of shorts, and been extradited from Mexico
.......HE`LL BE BACK.

DD,

Please go ahead, I would prefer a more compact header, maybe utilise the www.Bigcharts.com format, 50, 200 DMA?

Maybe bis will stay on here and the rest of us can move on!

Where is biswell?

Surely the jobs data, dollar strength and fall in POG should awaken him from his dreamy slumber?

Interesting article in the Sunday Times about how long term European growth prospects are the worst of all the major trading blocks. They made the very valid point, why does the UK want to tie its fortunes (66% of all exports) to a slow moving train when China/India/The Far East and America are all growing faster.

They made the point that it was particularly ironic seeing as only 60 years ago we ran a quarter of the world, and now we seem to have very blinkered and small minded aspirations with all our trade being centred on Europe.

Newsflash,

Barclays stockbrokers are hunting a trader that uses the alias Biswell,
they fear he has fled to Mexico, where police confirm they have found a large
pair of shorts with the remnants of what look like titanium balls.

Jus a bit of fun Biswell, your day will come, but hopefully not with
Avocet.
