Really glad I moved my portfolio to Interactive Investor (II) as I personally find their service etc. excellent. My Aviva Dividend was credited to my account when I opened my account this morning to review my investments. Each to his or her own and hope that all here receive their dividend today. Fingers crossed for the budget on 30th but the projection of lower interest rates should help overall sentiment.

HMG needs to be very careful
No Insurance company is duty bound to offer Car Insurance
Historically it has been unprofitable more years than its been profitable - its primary benefit being to leverage other products

Personally i think the Labour Gov will pull back slightly on the the expected tax rises, basically to save their jobs and look after themselves due to the hatred of this government.

But to think as the budget as 'certainty' is very naive, they have plenty of time to implement tax rises and financial uncertainty going forward.

I wouldn't go anywhere near the ftse with this government in power

Yeah the sooner the budget gets out of the way the better.

It may not deliver what investors want from a tax perspective but it will give the market certainty.
