Great to see the current price but as t12 says the FT100 has opened really well today.

Hopefully though we close above 500 and can stay there too into the weekend. That for me will be encouraging for for new buyers and support a further leg up.

Strong opening fcst for FTSE100, so I guess we could push through 500p today. I think the trading update will follow the previous bullish tones so expect we can hold above 500p.. GLA

I'm not convinced £5 is breeched yet, there will be a rather large numbers of limit sales to get through, so if the futures aren't with us I can see this fizzling out; a new trading band until the update.

Does anyone have level 2 access and are willing to tell us? Is the order book around 500 horrific as in terms of mountains of limit sales?I suspect a lot of sales at or just a bit below.

The BOD have already announced that the total cost of '2024 ordinary share dividends will rise by mid single digit % over the 2023 cost'.
This indicates a total dividend cost of £920m for 2024

After allowing for the reduction in shares outstanding, following the completion of the Share Buyack, the 2024 dividend will be circa 35.85p per share compared to 33.4p per share in 2023...a 7.33% increase
