HL policy , funds that are received before noon transfer can be made to nominated account same day ,however after noon transfer will be made next day.
In effect they will hold on to Aviva dividend for a day earning themselves x amount

It may be a wise move. I'm thinking of reducing holding due to tax liability too.

I think this good news, if not exceptional, was drowned out by the GE sentiment. In a day or so I think this muted acceptance of great figures will be chip paper wrapping and this will generally sink until after the election. I hope I'm wrong, but I sold a fair few today in one account to remove funds from my SIPP whilst it's still tax free.

it's had a good run up to day, i think the market was possibly hoping for an upward adjustment to the guidance. notwithstanding that i believe it will move on and over £5 imminently.

Based on guidance forward yield at today's price is just over 7%

So just reinvested this and my M&G dividend into a few more Aviva. With inflation were it is and pressure to reduce rates a solid and rising 7% yield is a good deal.

Can't see the relevance of the dividend payment date. The significant date was XD over 4 weeks ago.
