08/9/2010 12:17 | Many thanks Dolores but if we are being correct, then it was certainly mia culpa, mia maxima, if any transgression took place. However do bear in mind,it was for the good of the cause. | share_shark
08/9/2010 12:13 | Yorgi - I have no objection to you lifting the ban (you might want to consider lifting after 24 hours just to emphasise the point that this is not done lightly) as it is his first transgression here. But if he fails to tow the line in future.... | dolores123
08/9/2010 12:04 | These are the words I like best, from a military point of view(from the RNS) "SECURE AND FAST". Much needed in the conflicts around the world. The technology test-bed, which will be based in Stevenage, UK, will comprise of a dedicated secure laboratory facility which will enable government and military customers to test and refine future military Ka-band system requirements. The test bed will utilise proven system and terminal capabilities supplied by Astrium Secure Satcom Systems and satellite bandwidth on Avanti's HYLAS 1 satellite which will be launched in November 2010. . Commenting on the news, David Williams, CEO of Avanti Communications said: "With the ever increasing utilisation of satellite communications by both military and government customers, the demand for fast, secure, satellite band width has never been greater. | share_shark
08/9/2010 11:34 | This is another contract that highlights the potential of our Ka Band to serve a lot more than broadband for the mass populations. The valuation of this company is growing everyday and therefore the share price is considerably lagging behind (imho). 700p may soon look cheap!! | dolores123
08/9/2010 11:22 | You did Dolores :-) it's all coming together very nicely now I thought we were going to see 600p some time soon but we have already passed it so maybe 700p is not far way | yorgi
08/9/2010 11:14 | What did I tell you all earlier this morning - a new contract!! | dolores123
08/9/2010 11:03 | Well keep up the good work then SS | yorgi
08/9/2010 11:01 | Well the problem was Share Shark it was in some was so abreviated/coded it looks like I was not the only one who it made no sense to | yorgi
08/9/2010 11:00 | SS -that sounds interesting | dolores123
08/9/2010 10:55 | PS. Actual BB and I WERE communicating regarding AVN and with regard to five quality newspapers, who may be wishing to do articles on AVN(they are interested at present) and one newspaper who owes me a big favour in particular. | share_shark
08/9/2010 10:53 | No problem with the discussion being about AVN as Dolores has mentioned... it's just to keep the O/T stuff off the board that's all...fair enough I think. | peedlep
08/9/2010 10:48 | yorgi. i appreciate your views entirely but BB and I do work, a great deal behind the scenes for every company we invest in. We do that only with the great help of folks on the bb's,who contribute everything that we, as new investors might be unaware of. So bare with us,wont you because BB has done an IMMENSE amount of research on AVN and many of the new investors are here because of that,as I am. We never short a company either and are loyal until we sell or return as investors again. kind regards to all. | share_shark
08/9/2010 10:48 | BB I am very disappointed by your response to Yorgi. We would like to keep this thread devoted to AVN and maintain a high standard of posting so that potential purchasers can quickly evaluate the potential of AVN and not be put off or distracted by drivel. It would be appreciated if everyone would post with this in mind. Many Thanks | dolores123
08/9/2010 10:19 | This BB is for AVN can you carry out all your other correspondance via email to each other or appropriate BB | yorgi

08/9/2010 09:40 | Well the market has had a good few days and I guess Connaught would have some effect on the market also. We are still looking ok and we have had a brilliant run in the last few days. Also as you pointed out maybe a contract anouncement now launch date anounced it must help any salesman who need that something extra to encourage a potential client to sign on the dotted line | yorgi
08/9/2010 09:32 | Yes Good Morning Yorgi - good volume on aim and some on plus market. I'm surprised the market has generally opened down today but perhaps it will improve later especially if the Dow can open up. | dolores123
08/9/2010 09:22 | Yes that would give us a boost.....Good morning Dolores | yorgi
08/9/2010 09:21 | Just got to my desk. Wow £6 + now were moving - on St Leger's day as well that should be worth another £1 per share!!!! We might even get a new contract announcement soon now that the launch date is known. | dolores123 |
