Today's announcement looks like a long overdue step in the right direction and hopefully the start of a turnaround. Let's see what the market thinks. My guess is up to ~7p

No rebate, they were lucky to get a grant from ESA in the first place... I guess they are delaying to conserve money, and they can't sell the capacity they have, so why bother with it?

I would be interested to know more about what's happening with Hylas3. According to the company website its 'fully funded', and being constructed under a joint (cost) venture with the European Space Agency. It's well overdue, as the contract to build it was signed in 2013....and it was originally due to be launched in 2016....then 2018....and now 2019. Given that AVN have already paid circa $50mio and are expected to come up with a further $37.5 Mio for further construction and launch, surely a substantial rebate is due to Avanti....not only for non delivery and non launch....but also for loss of business revenue.

Hopefully this new thread will herald the change of fortune for Avanti. Certainly things are starting to move in the right direction. A couple of lucrative contracts when Hylas4 comes on stream next month would be most welcome.....
