Excellent news! AVN is far from dead in the water and starting to unlock the commercial potential of Hylas4. Another couple of meaningful contracts should see the share price X2, x3 from here, imo.

Agreed. Imo the NAV and enterprise value here is way in excess of 5pps. Buyout interest has pushed ISAT 60%+ higher than it was 3 weeks ago to a mkt cap of £2.5bn, despite having 2bn in debt and until recently still borrowing to pay dividends. An operational Hylas4 will be commercially transformational for AVN..........which is why the bond holders thought that the £400mio d/e swap at 11.2pps was a far more attractive option than a fire sale asset liquidation.

The bid for ISAT, ableit derisory, underlines the interest in satellite companies. Avanti may well start looking more attractive to potential suitors, especially once Hylas4 is on stream.....

$30m of which 12m was paid - this is the balance probably with interest and / or costs added (all as per 2017 annual report)

Time will tell.... won't it....How do you know what they have or haven't got lined up when Hylas4 goes live? Contracts, debt reschedule, buy-out....who knows what's in the pipeline subject to Hylas4 being operational.........

Not a slam-dunk by any stretch of the imagination but.........imo, you don't convert £400mio debt to equity thereby losing the priority over the liquidation of assets in the event of bankruptcy unless there are financially justifiable reason(s) to take that risk.
