21/4/2011 13:07 | ....because you're a rational investor not a reckless gambler, Yorgi ;o) Good luck with it. Patience pays. | knackers
21/4/2011 10:52 | Yes, showing that AVN have a service that has a demand and they are making progress to their projected goals. The directors knew what they were doing by buying significant amounts of shares over the past few weeks. I'm not worried about the day to day movements but it is good to see the steady movement in the right direction again. With contracts being won I'm quite confident the share price will continue to rise and in 6 months to a years time we will be asking ourselves why we didn't back a stack more. | yorgi
21/4/2011 10:39 | This was put AVN's website earlier. Not an RNS but shows they're cracking on with things. New Customers 21 April, 2011 - 09:30 Avanti Communications Group Plc (AIM: AVN), the satellite operator, is pleased to welcome the latest new service provider to its HYLAS 1 system, Polnetkom, in Poland. Polnetkom sells Virtual Private Network services in the retail, manufacturing, media, and government sectors. By purchasing Avanti's entry level Shared Virtual Network Operator (SVNO) product, service providers are able to offer affordable data network services to their customers with maximum ease and flexibility. David Williams, Avanti Chief Executive said: "I am pleased to welcome our latest Polish service provider to our system. I hope that the services provided via HYLAS 1 will assist Polnetkom in realising their ambitions to grow their business targeted solutions across Central and Eastern Europe." | blackberrydrop
21/4/2011 10:37 | Dont worry about the day to day movement. Not worth it. SC is probably licking his wounds. He went short on RRL and is getting burned, PDX is bouncing today and ASC well, flying Shame gg | greengiant
21/4/2011 10:18 | We seem to have got stuck around the 500p area for now......another contract win required maybe to further reinforce confidence in the waverers before we move onto 600p ? | yorgi
21/4/2011 10:14 | I wonder who you might be thinking of Blackberry :-) | yorgi
21/4/2011 10:07 | Easter is a time when those who have been sorely tried by money changers and their associated rabble rise again, more powerful than ever. Thus it is with Avanti, ascending now towards their righteous place. Those committing seven deadly sins, especially gluttony, go to another place.... ;-) | blackberrydrop
21/4/2011 09:19 | Its not Easter Sunday yet! | estienne
21/4/2011 01:47 | Rumour has it that Simon is now tucking into his Easter eggs and because of this he is well distracted from AVN. Takes quite a while to eat 86 large Cadbury eggs, including the contents! | chrissey
20/4/2011 23:16 | Been a long day at work today, so only just caught up with today's posts. Very pleased to see the market is continuing to reassess AVN's potential. No reply from Simon to my or others' questions, why is that? Simon, do you have anything to say? Can you confirm you are still short? What is your informant's latest comments? | garymott
20/4/2011 21:54 | If I knew how to Tommy I would ! | yorgi
20/4/2011 20:43 | could someone add the 20, 50 and 250 dma on the large chart.. | tsmith2
20/4/2011 19:21 | as far as TA goes, the price just closed above the 50 day sma @ £4.93 | marksnsparkle
20/4/2011 15:28 | Sorry if a little O/T but for those that want to follow SC blindly you should be aware of the fate of GTE this week ! | yorgi
20/4/2011 14:23 | He went short, I'm sure quite true, the price quite likely true, still short most likely not true......about it Orado ? | yorgi
20/4/2011 13:52 | colva You don't really believe a word of what he says - do you? | orado
20/4/2011 13:44 | Reading back through EK,s ramblings on the t1ps site - it looks like he went short AVN at about 570p - its still on his list of short positions today so he hasn,t closed. | colva
20/4/2011 13:41 | well, I'm pleasantly surprised. back over 500 in 2 days (instead of my estimate of end-April). let's hpe we can keep it up. the area of 520-530 may provide a resistance level, based on earlier price action, but I rather think it will prove shortlived - we may even be in the resolution phase at present. imho the areas of 630 and 750 are the next targets. we may even be lucky and get a "mirror" of the descent. if so, then we could be back at 750 by end-August | backmarker
20/4/2011 13:24 | Not been around here much lately has he. Must be because his numbers just don't add up. He sure has damaged his credibility and overall ability to add up simple numbers. Anyway, don't really care whether he is right or wrong about other shares, just know he is absolutely wrong about this one. gg | greengiant
20/4/2011 13:14 | Yep good point Tommy :-) Will be getting closer to time when he starts losing I would guess. | yorgi
20/4/2011 13:12 | EK is I am told still short, which is good because I rather have him closing at a higher price and thus providing a further buying of shares at a higher price! | tsmith2 |
