Of course he has been right about the share price albeit for the wrong reasons. He determined it would fall, which it did, but his premise was based on wrong information.Nevertheless it has fallen.

Cawkwell hasn't "been right " about the share price. He's manipulated it with the financial muscle of his followers.That's what's fundamentally wrong here.
Makes no difference to me, as I'm in for the long haul. Shame about the people who've lost money though.

I've put a link to it in the header Malcolmmm and as you have pointed out it is a good well explained report. However for the time being it seems the shorters still have it. If I get the right price on one or two of my other holdings I will be selling to add to AVN if we are still down here. So not to bothered if stays around here a bit longer.

significantly they have a model that shows that AVANTI is currently 50% less than average EU Ku band prices, perhaps SC and his informant should read this new out today analysis

As a broker you dont make this comment if your not 99% sure your correct in your analysis......

The recently advanced bear case against Avanti does not hold up, nor apparently
do suggestions of analyst avoidance: we checked with company management
who confirmed that all analysts following the shares are invited to presentations.
Furthermore, the most critical recent commentator had indeed been given a one
to one meeting and encouraged to relay further questions in writing.

If anything swung the debate in favour of the Bulls its that above comment.

Buy volume way above sell volume, cant help but feel on a better market day this would be trending a lot higher.

Im sure over coming days shorters will realise they have had as much as they can get out of this. Not far off natural support on chart anyway, cant see why they are remaining short and looks like a lot have quit already.

Yes, I agree Argy, until AVN more RNS of contracts won and some feedback from independent source of customer satisfaction with Hylas1 service then I'm afraid we may not see much of a rise. But would love to be proved wrong and see the price rising.

At this price I say hes got it wrong, not right. Hes had his 2 penneth and the broker has put forward a very solid case showing the technicals his source spoke off are wrong.

I wasn't aiming at you John.......and not really at Argy either :-)

My view on shorting, and nothing to do with the fact it is affecting me with AVN at the moment, is I believe it to be wrong, although I accept it is allowed by stock exchange rules and is not illegal. I have never been able to see how it can be right for someone to be able to sell shares they do not own, in the expectation or hope of buying them back when they have fallen. Betting on CFD's and the likes is fine in my opinion.

I'm obviously not talking about EK's take on the technical side. He has got it right to date in regards to the share price. He said at £7+ or whatever level that he was selling short because he thought the share price would fall. At today's 445p he has so far been proved right.

Sorry dont agree , hes only been right because the share price has gone his way on the back of what now appears to be info from a source that has been proved technically wrong by the broker report.

If your talking about yourself, fair enough, you should have got shot of them and waited for clariffication of the tech issue.

If your a new buyer like me Evils got it wrong and Im in profit already.
