Obviously better picking stocks than at the gg's SK.But why so many posts on AVN today? Surely you would have been hurting a bit more today had we not had the tragedy over in Japan threatening to get even worse.Not looking good for anything just now till some sort of stability and sanity returns especially for those poor poor people. I think you're wasting your breath. The elderly just don't understand all this new fangled technology, be it facetube, youbook and this interweb thingy. Perhaps that is why he has to rely on some nameless lackey (who appears to have an axe to grind) to try to keep justifying his arguments?

If Avn's products were uncompetive they would not have over 60 vno's signed up. The likes of yesterday's €7m contract and the fact Avn is commanding strong prices says it all. Even Eutelsats chief has said the demand for these services will outstrip the supply on both Avn and Eut's Ka satellites by miles ! Add in to the mix the fact that the Yanks and French would have spent day looking at Avn's business before committing money for Hylas 2, and I know who I believe!

Did anyone else read recently that obesity compounds dementia in the elderly?

I had in fact surmised you had only shorted AVN, though I would consider that an "involvement" if only in a negative sense.

from your post I take it your short position in AVN is now increased. if true, then I am intrigued, perhaps I have missed something which you have not. time will tell.

Simon, that is exactly the point. To download 1x movie from the Apple store will use my entire monthly usage allowance under a Tooway contract. Not that great an offering is it? Whereas, under the Avanti contract I can download the movie and still log on here and to read the drivel that your informant is posting. I would suggest that your informant puts aside his personal views and looks at this objectively.

Avanti signed yesterday's deal at above market prices, tell you something?

Simon Cawkwell ... I think your missing the point

The £25.99 Tooway package offers only 2.4GB of data ... as the web page says "A 10 minute video clip from YouTube uses 0.2 GB"

Therfore with that package you would be limited to being able to watch 12 x 10 minutes of video a month ... not really a great offering in a multi media world

Avanti on the other hand I believe are offering unlimited data and a faster download speed

You need to compare like with like, i.e. download speed and data, no point in saying a Ford escort is better value than a Ferrari because a Ford Escort is cheaper
