Bear in mind it is pretty much a negative day all round today. I'm still confident that looking medium and long term it is a "raging" buy but as several have posted we need that in service RNS and some more contract wins that will surely follow. It will be a different picture here in twelve months and an even better one in two or three years time.........unless of course we are bought out !

Could be but even so, at just over 2m shares on loan doesn't look to be anything worth writing home about. You can see where SC came on board, but again nothing hugely exciting to write home about.

Bourdeilles is lovely, the Donjon restaurant is one of my favourites. Like Brantome tho' mad in the summer.

perhaps some shorts have been closed as the share price went down to 488p which was Investecs target price, I used to live in Bourdeilles gg near the village

It is interesting that only 2m shares are out on loan. In % terms, that is nothing. So you would have to question the validity of the tips sheets response that the share price fall has been due to aggressive shorting. Yes an extra 1m shares have been added to the on loan figure in the last 2 months but again, considering the market cap, this is not a lot.

In my mind, the most likely reasons for the share drop have been people selling after the launch, followed by very public short selling campaign (albeit not in significant volumes) followed by doubt creeping into long's minds, some selling, thereby pushing the price down further.

The share price looks more reasonable at this level, based on the current known news. No doubt it will rise with in service rns and additional contracts. At this moment in time, it looks and feels right, however, I am not buying for this moment, I am buying for the next 12 - 18 months and as such added another 5k.

nothing really, folks used to think that continuous single digit and double digit sells or buys were codes for sellers and buyers of a stock. It was thought to be used by the shorting community in order to coordinate their attacks.

Yorgi, perhaps worth adding this link to the header - shows stock out on loan. As we can see it's up above 2m shares at feb end. Type in AVN and you will see that the figures differ to those above though:

I guess I'm biased :-) But in my opinion looking in the medium to long term I would think now is a very good time to enter if you're thinking about it. I would expect the share price to make good headway once we have the RNS telling us that Hylas1 is now in service which should be soon now.

Re: the small trades - they are widely believed to be MM signals but perhaps all a myth?

For the record, I got distracted and did not take any stock following my research. Still on fence but do like the prospects.

So presumably if the confidential preservice mission is successful it should lead to a substantial contract.It must be substantial if the company are prepared to delay start of service to accomadate it.

As a result of certain extra design activities during manufacture HYLAS 1 has higher performance than the original design provided for and is able to offer certain new services. We will analyse the precise performance characteristics of the satellite in these operating modes before commercial service commences.
