Simon I have to say I know nothing of CSFG so I can't comment but I have to say I find it very hard to have any respect for SC in view of recent events.

Simon my argument is that SC is promoted as a "professional" in the stock market tipping world as he is employed by t1ps.

It seems clear that what he posted last week was clearly wrong and therefore if he did not post a correction to it promptly then that in my mind is at the least misleading and close to illegal.

Yorgi,

I hold CSFG. I follow AVN. I see Rest's posts and wanted to refute his argument.

Not at all.I pay for all the shares I own.I never rent stocks so am never in a hurry.

The analyst may well have leaked the information to various parties ahead of its release.

He needs to be investigated to see whether he has broken the law.

There were suspiciously similar phrases in the Cawkwell memo.

The FSA needs to take the lead of the SEC and start making some arrests.

Furthermore it is widely accepted that the LSE is one of the most corrupt stockmarkets in the world.

Insider dealing is rife and financial journalists have far too much inside information than could be legally obtained.

Pure market maker stocks are dangerously opaque.

Of course I could just stick my backside in the air and be passive like you.

Criminals should be in jail, not distorting share prices.

Good day.

Rest,

"This Morton Singleton need to be investigated thoroughly."

So if an analyst writes a bearish note on a stock he should be investigated!? The FSA wouldn't be very busy as the vast majority are buy notes!

Reading your posts on AVN & CSFG it appears to me that you are angry with the market and because the shares are falling there is a conspiracy in each share to cheat holders.

It is as clear as the day is long why both shares have fallen, in the grieving cycle you are in Anger, may you pass into acceptance soon.

Denial--->Anger--->Bargaining--->Depression--->Acceptance

I whole heartedly agree restassured, ordinary investors and the market can be manipulated by the unfairness of the system, very interesting upbeat posting on T1ps today, on AVN

Who remembers a couple of guys who I think had a column in the Daily Mirror who built up a reputation for tipping stocks that were going to rise a few years ago but forgot to tell people that they had bought them a day or two before.

Up went the shares and thank you very much they then sold ! Then onto the next one the following week.

They were arrested charged and I think convicted.

My gripe is simply the sleazy, illegal relationships between analysts, journalists and stock operators.

The FSA needs to follow the lead of the SEC and start making some arrests.

This Morton Singleton need to be investigated thoroughly.

SC we know about.

I just look forward to the obituary columns every day.The champagne is on ice.

I'm sure they could Malcolmmm with the right newsflow over the next few weeks.

I was also thinking the same about the news item on the much slower than advertised broadband speeds that some people receive at the far end of a copper wire. Satellite could very well be answer for them.

They are saying on this afternoons news that ofcom have criticised the supplies of broadband that their advertised headline broadband speeds are nowhere near the speeds users actually get also the further you are from the exchange the speeds dramatically slow. Another plus for satellite imo
The FT were saying these would quickly go to £10 a few weeks back

it is a fairly robust defense by the directors, not much more they could do bearing in mind their lives are already heavily geared to the success of AVN.

what i would imagine they are also doing currently is looking at potential new intstutional investors and convincing them of their investment case. in the meantime until the shorters close their position, the satelite goes into operation or a new institution comes on board i see no real reason for the shares to rally significantly. of course in the short term all three of these scenarios may come to be in which case we will be back at £7.

Really?

How about the 500% disparity between the take out price of Hughes satellite and Avanti?
It would equate over £25 a share.

How long does it take to build a satellite?

The barriers to entry remain very high.Look at the spectrum Avanti have.25 satellites worth.

Investec appear to have the same point I did a while ago about flesh on the bones of new contracts. This has played into EK and others hands. Until they do the share price will remain weak I'm afraid.
