We do that is quite clear. The company or their broker really do need to sort this. If SC and whoever is preparing is case is peddling false information as we believe then it is quite clearly criminal as Restassured says and action should be taken. The only people who are in a position to take the action is the company or their broker there is nothing any of us can do.

If on the other hand they are right, which i don't believe they are, then we have been badly misled.

At the moment it is a battle between two sides and we need it resolved and at the moment SC has sunk in my mind to as low as it is possible to be and I AGREE with Restassured.

The entire basis of his informants arguments is that the retail price for Tooway is roughly €30 for a potential 10 Mbps download speed so how could Avanti match this. They would have to cut their price HOWEVER, where the esteemed Mr Cawkwell is wrong is in believing his informants information. For example the €30 package is what Tooway itself describes as the very Basic package. It is limited on speed, upload and download, and amount ( from memory I believe it is 4gb per 28 days.

The other packages start at €40, €55 and €90. Now who would I want to believe, someone like SC who knows nothing about the current contracts or future contracts or the directors who have just put up £530k?

It will be interesting to see what TW now has to say in reply. We could do with an RNS with the company's take on the pricing & capacity. I know that the Directors have bought and that says a lot, but now that SC is adamant that he's right we could really do with some reassurance.

cawky is very dangerous

he was previously putting around a rumour that pdx tech was a scam

shortly afterwards a major deal was signed with NNL (national nuclear laboratories)

So what is of importance is Throughput and Power, none of the other stuff matter as much. Each company will make money, if it is enough for shareholder that is yet to be seen but one thing is for sure, the directors of Avanti's will be more happy than the shareholders. ps I do not hold but I have a great interest due to the customers they supply services to.

Gentlemen,

What follows is an interim commentary. However, I am persuaded that Avanti is even more of a short than it was a few days ago.

Simon Cawkwell

"Simon

To be clear, this is all the same rebuttal put out by Avanti that I forwarded on to you. It's a little rich for Tom to accuse you of not checking your facts and then reproduce verbatim a document from Avanti. It's embarrassing that this "fact" based rebuttal also includes several errors of fact e.g. that "ka-band is a new concept to Eutelsat". As I noted in a previous email to you, they have been operating ka-band capacity on HotBird 6 since 2002 ( including their consumer broadband service Tooway. This may seem a trivial point but the rest of the rebuttal is highly misleading in many places and contains nothing to counter my main argument - that if you take the capacity Avanti have said they have and the pricing Eutelsat are already supplying the market at, it is not clear how Avanti can generate anything like the revenue they are guiding.

There is no factual error in what I sent you. I did not confuse gb with mhz, gb throughput is the standard that everyone in the industry other than Avanti uses to state ka-band capacity. But even if you believe Avanti's numbers ka-sat is 10 times larger than Hylas 1 and has a 34% cost advantage.

I do have a full response to Avanti's document but I can not distribute this publicly. I expect a broker will publish something very similar in the next few weeks."

Today British Bulls confirmed AVN as a buy, having previously advised selling at £6.20 on 16/02/2011 - not a bad call, especially Pre investec & SC.

Pleased to note "The market is currently cold for short-sellers. Avoid any short sales and cover the short positions immediately if there are any."

Looks like it is repeating the same pattern as last march where it bottomed out.

The question is how much do we multiply our longs by at these levels?

So far I have doubled.

Yes, I agree Malcolmmm.

I hope your right Colva :-) The share price has managed a little rise today, we will see if it continues tomorrow. I'm confident when we get the in service RNS we will rise and hopefully some more contract wins.

In the last week the daily posts on this board have averaged over 100 - so far today we,v had about 30 and the share price has moved up - so it looks like the shorters have left the building.

Paleje,

I've been saying for ages once launched, as Hylas1 is then the revenue rolls in, most of the risk and expense are out of the way. Hylas1 up and working but not in service yet and Hylas2 due to be launched next spring is fully funded.

AVN have mentioned other uses but have not given any details as yet.

From his post yesterday at 9.13 he said he hadn't.

"I stress that all the above is written and issued by Investec. Please also note that the 488p target price has been achieved (this morning). I have not yet received a TP update. However, I am not buying to close since momentum is now with the bears. Besides, I think the economic outlook for AVN is not good."

Did you see the Cenkos report posted earlier which corrected Investec's report ?
