23/2/2011 17:31 | Its quite simple to understand when a maintenance company is losing contracts and has huge debts that it is going down. On this occasion I think EK has foolishly trusted what someone has told him with out understanding the technology or for that matter the full picture and has done himself no favours. He has not posted on this BB at all before and suddenly today comes in with his short argument without knowing what he was talking about. I would like to see him have the courage to stand up and admit he was wrong......but made a few bob out of misleading people. I'm quite sure he did not post here for the wellbeing of AVN shareholders. In my eyes he has not shown himself in good light at all today. | ![]() yorgi
23/2/2011 17:30 | It's interesting because I have always seen Cawky and TW as 'in cahoots'. After all I see them on stage together at Master Investor and they clearly have a long working relationship of some form. Surely Cawky cannot short, then make incorrect statements to bring the share price down? Meanhwile TW buys and then denounces Cawky's reasoning. I'm not suggesting for a minute that this is what is happening but merely postulating that possible scenario. | ![]() melody9999
23/2/2011 17:22 | I suspect that reputations as well as money are at stake here, we may get share price volatility with the hedge fund and perhaps Simon short selling more , but the fact the directors and TW buying will hopefully help. In the end its company profit that will reflect the share price | ![]() malcolmmm
23/2/2011 17:19 | superg1 - 23 Feb'11 - 16:39 - 3387 of 3389 As said I'm a PI working for Pi's and their interests. Just shut up you lying worm! You are not even a shareholder. Using the extreme distress in world markets just shows the sordid characters you and your pig villain of a man associate are. | ![]() restassured
23/2/2011 17:17 | TW's response to EK on the T1ps site clearly and convincingly demonstates that Evil's arguments are grossly and factually incorrect. The T1ps Growth Fund has bought more AVN today to take advantage of the unjustified fall. | ![]() standish11
23/2/2011 17:02 | Yes, pretty much answers it Malcolmmm. As you say both EK and his hedge fund that was also shorting have done well out of it. Anyone frightened out at a loss would be right to feel annoyed with EK. For the rest selling and buying back in lower are happy and others like myself adding this afternoon should soon also be very happy. Livened up the BB today thats for sure. I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when TW got to read EK's posting. Its one thing to have an opinion but when someone in Cawkwells position posts inaccurate information he should show the courage to admit his errors. | ![]() yorgi
23/2/2011 16:54 | funny sort of day.It looks to me that the hedge fund shorting these advised Simon Cawkwell to short, he reports on here of their reasons. This helps the downtrend, the outcome being that perhaps the hedgefund and Simon make money. Which maybe is fair enough, at least we know the probable reason why the share price has been falling of late. dyor I suppose is the answer | ![]() malcolmmm
23/2/2011 16:39 | Just looked up SC, sorry I didn't realise who he was. I don't like the shorting method but it's a money making system so we have to live with it. My concern is the link to T1ps. Were they the ones also tipping the price would rise. If that's the case my furrowed brow is turning to anger. As said I'm a PI working for Pi's and their interests. I don't like people gloating about picking small investors off. At least Simon knows he is now 1 of 2 in a 100 that can spot such events against the flow. But I didn't bet on that, it's a moral thing. | ![]() superg1

23/2/2011 16:18 | Gorvachof there is little point in hosting or posting on a BB unless one has an interest in the stock. That is the only reason I host and post here. I make no apology for being pro AVN and there is plenty of serious postings here but on days like today when someone post inaccurate information to support his short then there will be both serious posts and more jovial as the posting is laughable to say the least. Your welcome to host a BB and invite whatever type of posters that want to post Regards Yorgi | ![]() yorgi
23/2/2011 16:12 | Rest I'll just have to laugh at you, nothing more I can do. Crooks interesting point that, just had 2 trying to nick stuff regarding my building work, duely accosted and spoken to by the police. Otherwise I could have replied earlier. FSA are of no use as they deal with people that have been misled having invested. As I haven't invested they can't help me. Report me they already have all my contact details and expecting a full report from me. If your one of the good guys then join in. | ![]() superg1
23/2/2011 16:10 | This sure is one Pro AVN BB. I wish it wasnt so. SC posts a negative angle on the company and only one person "marksnsparkle" (a none holder!!) made any kind of factual counter..... Funny enough someone later accused him of being SCs spokesperson...meanw How about using your time to research that little bit more, from whatever angle.....it may just save you a buck, and do me a favour at the same time. | gorvachof

23/2/2011 15:51 | A right mega-battle going on here ☺ Bit of reading on the potential business applications. "Over the last five years, the demand for satellite capacity for backhaul has grown with a CAGR of 19%. Future growth will be strongest in Africa (25 to 50% a year) and Asia (12 to 18% a year) over the next five years before it reaches saturation." backup/continuity | dasein
23/2/2011 15:50 | Added a few more | ![]() yorgi
23/2/2011 15:49 | Is Simon Cawkell manly enough to come back and apologise? Or,as I suspect just a shadowy scumbag that peddles lies and innuendo. | ![]() restassured |
